@truevengeance2801 If you want an introduction to string theory you might want to look into Steven Hawkings books, I have read some of them but he only gives you a simplified version of the theory. You might want to go from there exploring deeper into some of the fields he covers, but it is a good start :)

@vrcraft Not all physicists agree with String Theory you know. Your right that its foundations are pretty shaky, but you should not just attack it so harshly. QM had the same experience in the early days, shaky foundations that violated the classical laws. They had to develop new physics just for it. Einstein even attacked it, but today there are so many applications that come from QM such as electronics and in medicine like PETs. One day, the same will probably happen with String Theory.
The issue with this theory is that it can't be demonstrated or proven, it's just a story.

Human senses are limited to certain extent. Take for example our sense of smell which is far below that of a canine. Likewise, our sense of sight can only see a portion of the spectrum of light. @truevengeance2801 If you want an introduction to string theory you might want to look into Steven Hawkings books, I have read some of them but he only gives you a simplified version of the theory. You might want to go from there exploring deeper into some of the fields he covers, but it is a good start :)
And I know that you are not taking a PhD, it is you who chose what area you are going to look into not the university, but it is okay :)

Except it explains things much smaller than we could ever possibly see. QM had the same experience in the early days, shaky foundations that violated the classical laws. They had to develop new physics just for it. Einstein even attacked it, but today there are so many applications that come from QM such as electronics and in medicine like PETs. One day, the same will probably happen with String Theory.

You should not try to understand the string theory if you can't understand the mathematics behind it. This whole idea of a parallel universe is all just hyped up! They want research money you see and they will not admit to the fact that there are wide varieties of string theory and also it cannot be empirical observed due to lack of good technology.... it is all just a mathematics model though be it consistent...

If the universe goes on forever, everything possible must happen not just once but an infinite amount of times, thus since you know you are possible as you exist, you must exist not just once but an Infinite amount of times, and since space & time are relative you must exist not just Infinity throughout space, but eternal throughout time and thus your life is eternal and thus since this life appears finite, there must be an after-life.
