Question: How do you do a reverse warlock punch in explicit detail starting from throwing the bat until the actual punch goes off? Also wondering about the SH ada's. I seem to always FF (fast fall) thus not making them hit, any tips for that?
@RubixClan - If the punch doesn't connect at all, you pressed B too early and/or landed too far away from the sandbag. You need to land right next to the sandbag.
- If the punch connects, but does <34%, you landed in the right spot, but pressed B too early.
- If the punch connects, does 34%, and goes left instead of right, you started the punch too late and/or landed too far to the left. (This is the Accelerated Warlock Punch in the wr strat)

I'm assuming you mean between the ada and when you land. There's no reason for it to not work. If it doesn't work, then your timing is wrong. There's really not much more to it.
Have you seen wak's Advanced How-To-Play video? It shows you a little more detail about getting the timing right.

I'm not aware of a HRC-specific lcancel tutorials. Imo it's not really needed. Once you have the general principle of lcancelling down it shouldn't be too difficult to implement it into HRC.

A capture card (or TV tuner) is a device you install in your computer to allow it to record videos. They also make external ones that just plug into your computer. The external ones aren't hard to install, and fairly cheap.
Also, I record my videos onto VHS tapes first, then play back the tapes into my TV tuner.
Or, if you happen to have a digital camera that records videos, then you can use that, too. The end video won't look as good, but there's a lot less technical stuff involved.

Are you double-jumping when you throw the bat up? You need to double-jump to gain a little extra height. Also be sure to start the Warlock Punch before you land.
yo how do you do that, I can only get about 3500 wit Gannon how do you time that. I do it the crap way, I smash up/jump/Dair/jump/drop bat-Dair/wait-pickup bat/ jump/drop bat-Dair/repeat once more (thats all time allows) then Warlock Punch ... my goal is to get 5000, but I can't even get that
If you're waiting for the bat to land before you pick it up and jump again, you're not going to have enough time. You have to drop the bat, do the dair, land, lcancell, jump, catch the bat IN MIDAIR (press Z), then quickly drop and dair again. If you're not quite quick enough to do it with single jumps, try double jumps. Double jumps take a bit longer, but they're much easier.
When I jump up to do the RWP, I jump with X/Y, then push the joystick up to double-jump (hold it), wait a fraction of a second, and then press Z twice to catch and throw the bat. I'm not sure if that's the best way to do it, but that's how I do it.
Practice. =P You also might need to catch/release the bat a little faster and/or start the ADA a little later than normal. If you keep playing around with it you'll get it eventually.
If all else fails, face towards the bag and do the bat drops a step or so away from it. It'll do the same damage as the reversed bat drops, but it might make it harder to nail the RWP afterwards.
How much does your version of smash bros affect this score? I did the same exact thing, u-smash, double jump bat drop to dair, 5 batdrops, then reverse warlock...but I only got 264% and 6700 ft.
I paid close attention, and it looks like your bat drop to dair does a lot more damage. Can you clue me in?
Are you facing away from the sandbag when you do your bat drops? It sounds like you're doing yours while facing towards the sandbag, which does less damage.
If you're only getting 6700 ft. @ 264%, then you're probably not doing the RWP correctly either. If your RWP doesn't do a full 55%, you're going to get a crap score.
Aha, doing them facing towards. I didn't realize that's what caused the difference. I've been trying to do them reversed for a while now, experimentally, but I can only land the first one, and can't do the reversed mid-air catch bat-drop after that I do it with the same timing as I did normally, catching and dropping the bat just before the peak of the jump, but the bag goes flying to the right. Any advice there?
I actually tried doing that a few hours ago, before I read this, and my success rate is improving ^_^. I landed 4 of them, but it is still rare for me to land more than one.
Won't make any difference. I can't use copyrighted music without permission from the copyright holders, and I'd have to go through this big legal process to do that. And I just don't feel like spending all that time and money on it. >_>

@RubixClan 1 - I do the first jump with y
2 - press z to catch the bat
3 - then tap up+z so he double jumps and throws the bat up
4 - push left on the joystick slightly (to di left)
5 - press B for Warlock Punch while releasing the joystick. B needs to be pressed just before hitting the ground.

Sounds like you aren't lcancelling. Hit the L button a half a second or so before you hit the ground, and he won't sit there as long.

L Canceling won't work. I've tried pressing L at every different point in time between (air+down-A) and it doesn't work. Do you have any idea why?

I got up to 4472 feet now. Mainly due to a knowledge of L-cancels. But I can't seem to get up to the bat with them. Any ideas? Plz

If you're lcancelling correctly, you should be able to jump soon enough to catch the bat. Try jumping a little sooner than you think you're able to.

Try catching and releasing the bat a little bit faster than normal. You might need to start the ADA a little bit later too, but only a little.
