I have a question. When the surgeon pins the ear back i've seen some cases that the top part sticks out or looks elf like. Does that mean that was a mistake from the surgeon. Because i've seen other cases and th ears look naturall after the surgery. Hope you understand what im trying to say. Please reply as quick as you can. Thank you.
@ecalb1 that is known as a telephone deformity in which the center is pulled too far in and the top is not pulled in enough. however, i don't know if that is the case but that is what you are describing.
hello doc ! i have a question ! is it true that post operation u need around 3 to 4 months to see the final results and for the ear to take their final shape and settle in ? thank you
I read about how you don't give out prices on this site, but I emailed you on your website and wasn't given the price, instead, I was informed that there's a consultation fee and that you would discuss about the price in person. But I wanted a more general price on how much it costs worst case scenario..... thanks.
@HitMeWithASpork hi, so sorry about that. i don't know why you got that answer. i have a standard otoplasty price. maybe to be faster just call my office 888-866-3388 or 972-312-8188. let me know if that does nor work.
Dr. Lam i would greatly appreciate if you would look at my before and after pictures from otoplasty i got it done august 1 2008 i think they still kind of stick out and also are too different in their shapes it is called Before and After Otoplasty and it was uploaded by me reijong.
you have an improvement but you could benefit from further reduction if you wanted to. if you are interested, you could call my office 972-312-8188 or 888-866-3388. just book way ahead. i am booked into september now.
Ignore n01ca22 cuz yr face doesnt look fat & yr 1 day out, they would be swollen! I think they hav done a really good job and your ears look gr8! where did u get them done??
Dr. Lam, I am considering this procedure but I know that I am keloid prone (even though I am white) and that keloids are more common on ears. Have you or your associates ever had a patient develop a keloid from otoplasty?
I agree! and the swelling will not make the ears not stick out! its the cartilage behind the ear that needs to be removed even more! No good! get your money back kid!
lamfacialplastics i can't write the dot com portion of this response only because video responses do not allow a URL of any kind to be posted in this response window. go to see his before photos in the "video journeys" section under the menu item "procedures". i will be posting his after photos shortly.

@hanizaytoun sometimes you see the result pretty much dead on. sometimes the ears can relax about 10 to 20% over a few months.

The bottom half of the ears still stick out quite a lot. I would personally be unhappy with this.
