  • Tesla is Lightyears ahead. Their all electric model s does 5.5 in the standard and 4.5 in the sport for half the price. This car is nice to look at but very confused.

  • This car is a mind boggler. 201 Horse Power with...960 lbs of torque? Thats one hell of a ratio...however, 0-60 in 6.3... Cost 6 figures and its going green.

  • Here are a few examples on YouTube! Enjoy!

Boehm HB11 German Made Stirling Engine

    Solar Stirling Engine

STIRLING ENGINE SOLAR POWER FRESNEL LENS HOT AIR ENGINE MOTOR

  • ---->we can have piston engines with zero emissions that run on batteries and this is a fact and works as advertised! BTW did you know stirling engines came into being 200 years ago?:))

  • There is an option for people that love piston power and that is a stirling piston engine and if you don't know stirling engines don't use fuel and don't have an intake or exhaust but run just like a normal piston engine and can be run with electricity, stirling are vacuum engine not combustion and the gas volume is sealed internally and move from one side of the piston to the other so is no intake or exhaust and are run on heat and that can come from an electric source, so that means---->

  • There are new battery chemistry's on the way that will either give more range for the same weight or more power for the same weight or less range for less weight! Liquid carbon batteries will give all electric cars 1000 mile range with weight the same as whats out now or you can run all series and get double the voltage for the same weight or you could run a smaller battery half the weight and still get 300-500 miles so knowing that combustion is over people just don't know it yet!!

  • Why can't other electric cars be like this? Its expensive, but it looks good, has a nice interior, its quite fast, luxurious, its just like a normal luxury car.

  • Do people not see the Maserati in this!

  • Do people not see thev

  • I don't care what your opinions are about the electric engine...this is one good looking car

  • it looks like a beamer and an aston martin had a prodigy child

  • They'll be shoveling dirt on my head the day I'm forced to switch to an electric car. There has to be another way.

  • How could Autocar have so many subscribers and gets so many views, even though they're videos are boring, while other car reviewers are awesome to watch, and they get no subscribers or views.

  • fng grill looks like joker from batman..lol

  • Great review

  • Anyone else thinks it looks buck toothed and cross eyed?

  • Soulless.

  • this car looks awesome. Head lights and grille kinda resemble that of BMW z8's, rear is similar to Maserati 3200gt. This is how Porsche Panamera should look like...

  • @Arkadij19888 the designer of the fisker also worked on the z8 so that's why

  • Hey bro I got a pair of sunnies if you need them

  • I cant imagine how idiot you should be to buy this two and half tons of pure american engenewbty

  • Rubbish.

  • I took a test drive- AWESOME car! Impressive handling & braking. This is a true series hybrid (gas engine doesn't drive the wheels at all) and truly one of a kind! Plus its good to know its a more stable battery than the Volts that catch fire when crashed! Its rumored there will be a couple more models coming in 2-3years in a lower price range :)

  • well the reviewer also forgot about its really "sexy looks", i showed it to a female co worker to inform her that not all Eco friendly cars are ugly her exact words for this car is "wow sexy , must be like a million dollars?"

I said no actually it costs lest then supercars under 100k, she was doubly impressed.

And if you live less then 50 miles from work which most people do in a big city no gas needed.

    She wanted one right away!

  • its just incredible.... whats the starter price...anyone???

  • I hope they make a fisker SUV

  • Walden liked this

  • Nice concept an the green idea is there. 2 bad the cost of owning 1 will make it untouchable by the average working class. tesla is in the same boat. unperfected science is expensive.given 10 yrs the tech will bring the cost down. even then there will be stipulations.

  • the US loan was for the Delaware plant that will make their second car (Nina?)

  • over a Billion Dollars in the bank and these assholes take $500 million

U S dollars and put there plant in Finland !!!!!!

  • I guess people can live with the fact that this car looks like Ron Jeremy when they find out it's made in Finland.

  • bugs bunny...

  • Looks too good to have a 5.9 or 7 second 0-60mph time.

  • I have to, I love the car in every way but I really don't like the front.

  • I thought this car was much faster.

  • @TheAstonMartian same here

  • What i would like to know is how good the heating system is in that car. Could i drive it along in a cold Estonian winter day? Lets say -20C. How much miles per gallon then? I assume that like the other hybrid cars, miles per gallon will be cut in half.

  • Not to mention the design which is absolutely top-notch.

  • finally, a hybrid that i actually want!

  • i cant see the aston, looks more like a z8 front then maserati gts rear

  • Aston Martin + BMW?

  • No soul

  • @ipodkiller6 lol, its a Ginger car

  • car sucks

  • youre lookin at the future.

  • I like it! Would I bye one? ...I don't know...

  • yo.kieor..este.tipo.de..karma..xD

  • He only said half the major things of the car are bad yet it's "staggering"?

  • Ok that was clearly the slowest take-off ever. I bet a prius could beat that. Who's pole is this guy greasing? Its o.k. to say its a slow car, you know.

  • @SnipsCitizen: lol There is no way no how that can happen. This car has about 270 HP. And I've heard that some models even have over 300HP. But anyway, the reason why a prius cant beat this off the line because a Prius cant beat anything off the line. lol

  • @V8Supercar1 Obviously I was being facetious. Prius 0-60 time is 9.3 seconds. Fisker Karma is 5.8 - 7.9 depending on what mode you are in. Even the low end, 5.8, is slow. That said: the launch in the video was no damn 5.8 seconds.

  • It's an amazing looking car, and the fact that it's a relatively unknown brand makes it extra exiting when people look at your car and cant seem to guess what it is. After we saw it at a car show in Amsterdam my father actually considered buying it.

  • It's not a new company , I think there starting the company back up.

  • Looks strange...

  • I see more Maserati styling than Aston Martin

  • Beautiful

  • how much?

  • @thrax777 In the US, anywhere from $96,000-$110,000.

  • The Tom Selleck of cars!

  • beauty!

  • an "eco" car weighing 2.5 tonnes ??????

  • This guy is so boring

  • Whisker karma

  • @H3llHoundd hahaha

  • reminds me of a masserati Gran Sport

  • The Nissan Leaf's batterys will only last about 10-possibly 5 years. And the new set of those cost about 7000 pounds. You can just imagine how often you have to change the batterys for this car-and how much they are goeing to cost...

This is bigger and heavyer car with much more power than the Leaf's got, and it uses the same cind of batterys, just bigger ones.

  • I'dd buy it, if it had a petrol engine.

  • @dekster14LP it does...

  • I like the look but please stop making hybrids!!!!! Either a lovely petrol or a proper diesel...

  • @jamiebridges123 you kinda have to start making hybrids, coz the oils running out.

  • @Narza85 there's plenty of oil. certainly enough for the current generation to live to around 100. they are finding more and more reserves and more deposits of oil to mine. they charge so much 'cause they can. they make billions of profit..not hundreds of thousands.

hybrids suck, hydrogen fuel cells would be the future.

  • true but stop hating

  • so does the petrol engine power the car like a typical hybrid, or does it just provide power to the batteries?

  • batteries are heavy, ppl!

  • a billion dollars of borrowed money

  • FINALY!

  • They should use gas struts for the boot to save space.

  • I fell in love with this car the first time I laid eyes on it years ago. Its staggeringly beautiful, especially with that "Boston Blackie" pencil-thin mustache. That this is a hybrid gives the "green" car movement some much needed sex appeal. This is the only hybrid I'd own, if i had the money to buy it. Hell, I'd just sit in the garage and stare at it all day.

  • after a while the look sinks in... i like it

  • @vsc1217 i agree, after looking at it for a while it looks really nice

  • stooooooooooooooop talking for crist sakes ><

  • 2.5 tonnes!!? Have they filled it with lead?

  • @BedsideGnome Those lithium ion batteries are REALLY heavy. Same battery that goes in your laptop, but there's way more of them.

  • 100 miles to the gallon, wow, very impressive

  • 2 and a half tonnes!? My Landcruiser Prado is 2.2t...

  • Honestly, the 'being green' concept on this car is amazing, but I can't wait for a tuner to take out the batteries & original engine and replace it by a superb V8.

  • hipster mustache.

  • Don't see it, sorry.

  • It looks like it has mustaches :)

  • I do not like the mustache front of the car.

  • @Warrantti what if it was a beard or a goatee lol?

  • Why are people still obsessed with electric/hybrid cars? They aren't the future; they aren't even good for the environment! Thinking "oh, they don't use petrol"... Well, think about a) where the electricity comes from, b) where the parts for the batteries comes from (as well as all the heavy metals etc), how they transport the batteries, etc etc I could go on.

Why don't companies just stop with the bullshit and focus on hydrogen power. I don't think there's much better than that...

  • @DJFriction Anything provided by big companies, and even worse, hydrogen is provided by oil companies, wont' help us either.

  • @DJFriction

electricity can come from renewable energy such as wind and solar, oil cannot. electric cars are much more efficient; so given the same amount of CO2 produced even electricity gained from a coal energy source, they will travel farther than a oil engine. the batteries are made from lithium which is not as hazardous to the environment as oil to extract. batteries are transported the same way you transport an engine. i could go on about your stupidity...

  • @JCompany8 only problem with electricity are the batteries which require natural resources and eventually wear out and will cost an arm and a leg to replace.. There are so many more advanced technologies available to power a car. It is possible to make an internal combustion engine run on water alone- , not hydrogen. yeah, therell be a need for some type of lubrication (oil) but it will be much more beneficial over electricity.. i even think bio diesels are more beneficial but thats just me..

  • @JCompany8 Solar energy I can get on board with, wind power however I wont. Basic first law of Energy is that it can only be converted from one form to another, not created nor destroyed. I don't believe that it's possible to have a wind generator taking power from an air stream without a trade off.

  • @3000ST1 Wind farms that are placed in areas of high prevailing wind speeds are taking energy from and air stream and weather pattern that would otherwise continue to flow onto another place with a given amount of degredation over the cycle. MIT are one of a number of bodies that have conducted studies on this which have been largely ignored. Dig down into the thermodynamics of wind power and there are losses, mainly to long term average temperatures and localised weather systems.

  • he talked so fucking much and cant tell the price ???????????????

  • I bet california will see most of those

  • Put a V-8 and price it around $75,000 and you have a winner.Screw this green crap because its all brainwashing the sheeple.

  • Great review

  • Absolutely gorgeus car which in design terms puts to shame the ghastly Panamera and the unimaginative Rapide, however the alleged starting price is quite high.Good to know there are some entrpreneurs left out there willing to challenge the establishment.

  • I was gonna say I see some Maserati in there.

  • naahh i think ill take M5

  • This is a good looking car with potential, no doubt. But, and this is a huge "but", for a car that is going up against the Mercedes CLS there is nothing about it that would really make me want to buy this over the car it's targeting. Obviously this car has much better looks - even though I love the CLS - but when you consider that the Fisker is going to have a starting price that is almost $40 000 more than the base CLS there is no way you could sell me on this car that much.

  • It's no greener than any big luxury car but it's allows too maintain your sense of smug self satisfaction like all the other hybrid drivers.

  • Great looks, great car!

  • his voice is like he is in a living room.

  • fuck car

  • i didnt notice that it is a 4 door car till the end of the video... lol

  • This car makes me interested in hybrid/electric vehicles.

  • Meh.

  • DO WANT.

  • Copy & paste :

    " EXCLUSIVE ! NEW BMW M5 F10 / G.POWER HURRICANE RS "

    ( Check it out )

  • Too heavy, but interesting car. I'd rather have Tesla Model S which is even faster car.

  • where's my top comment?

  • didn't mention the solar panel on the top of the car

  • @nhirsch Yes. Put it onto Tesla Model S and I would absolutely love that car.

  • fair enough

  • I still think the car has a moustache.

But I stil think the design is great this shows that electric cars do not have to be driving lunch boxes.

    I love this car.

  • It had my interest right up to the point where he said hybrid, then i stopped watching

  • A very fair assessment. Well done.

  • That car Looks Like it has a Mustache!!!

  • Honda s2000 made 246 HP out of a 2.0 liter 4cyl naturally aspirated meaning no turbo 236 to 240 brand new and 246 when broken in.

  • @8184Antonio

Uh.. and so? Random specific power data game?

In 1967 Alfa Romeo made 200 HP out of a 2.0 liter N/A V8 in its 33 Stradale roadcar. 1967.

  • A very mature review. Well done Autocar.

  • Wow that is a real feat of engineering! Incredible! Congrats to Fisker :)

  • that car is gorgeous

  • @Turbulence654321 As someone pointed out-the grill of this car looks like a hipster mustache, and it actually does, the look of this car for me is now ruined, I'll never be able to look at it the same again! lol

  • I wouldnt buy a car from a company that was born in the way that Fisker was. The problems concerning Mr. Henrik Fisker and Tesla are enough to make me think twice abou the company´s filosophy.

  • That front grille is so fake

  • it says V6 on the engine cover?

  • @Pitttdog It says G__DRIVE not V6.

  • this car looks like someone ate a bmw 6series/z4, maserati gran turismo and a lincoln then threw it all up to make this. also why does this get a 6min feature while other cars that matter get 90sec

  • so were the grilles designed with the pringles man as inspiration?

  • @heyedmond yes, and for that reason alone i would buy it :D

  • PRICE????

  • The second I heard this was a hybrid, my smile turned into a grin and my dick went limp. An electric engine shouldn't belong in a car this sporty-looking. That's like being with a chick with a hot body, but who is disgusted by sex.

  • front looks like maserati

  • 118mpg ! Nice

  • The f20c from Honda is a small 4 cylinder engine which produces 240 horsepower, so 270 is not impossible.

  • I don't care how fast it goes; it is like a very nice looking luxury sedan, and you can actually be proud when you tell people it's a hybrid. On top of that, it's very unique and that is one of the first things I look for in a car.

  • @carsismeZ06 who the fuck cares if its a hybrid? if you are proud that you own a hybrid you probably live in San Francisco.. They will sell probably 1000 units tops like tesla did because no1 gives a rats ass

  • they need to put a normal engine in it...

  • Just a gorgeous car.

  • looks like a Maserati from the back....

  • review tesla rodster

  • amazing design love it.

  • I know this is a dumb question, but the electric motor can still power the heat and A/C?

  • I like this guy, and this review

  • Its GORGEOUS

  • i like it :)

  • Why does this feel like history class?

  • Half of Hollywood sold their prius after seing this. What an amazing looking car

  • Why the man doesn't shut up? He speaks and speaks and speaks...

  • the grille will have to grow on me some more, but otherwise it is absolutely beautiful; and built by an american car company...go figure.

  • It's a shitty car, I preffer the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 or Mercedes-Benz S-Class Hybrid

  • Excellent car review, very good job!

  • 2500kg???

  • Getting into a wreck and having all those batteries getting smashed right next to you with just an interior rug between you and all that battery fluid/chems would not be fun.

  • I`m SO glad i`ve had my licence for 20 yrs,got to drive REAL cars and is now "grown up" to the point that i own the cars i both want and need.Because i SERIOUSLY dread the future of cars.

  • This is the first descent Hybrid in my opinion. I believe (or at least hope) this car will start a movement among car manufacturers and within 10-12 years AMG will be building some crazy one's :D

  • no..

  • *YAWN* sorry what was it called? Looked really cool but this guy is so boring!

  • Jebus that's heavy! But I like the concept and looks.

  • omg it is just a porsche panamera look at his interour it is just a porsche panamera

  • @14thijs In what possible way does the Karma's interior look like a Panamera interior? The only conceivable similarity I can find are the presence of a steering wheel and 4 seats. You must be completely retarded to think that this car is even slightly similar to the Porsche Boner (excuse me, I meant Panamera).

  • @marshknute just the mid centre only all the butens are gone and look at it a 4 door super car the same line as the porsche

  • good review nigga

  • They put the wrong engine in such a good car
