@IMelkor42 well we can speculate that fins are usefull in the planet's atmosphere as f302 was design to be usefull there too, not only in space, where it's missles probably use adjustable exhaust to control its direction, makes sens? Things that bother me most however is that they never though of beaming nuke next to a wrath ship since they couldnt counter their jamming technology, should do at least as much damage as beaming it aboard as wraith ships didnt use any kind of shielding technology..

@Namateracu beaming a nuke into empty space whouldn't be as effective as you'd think most of the damage is caused (like just about all explosives) by a massive concussive wave without an atmosphere it would just scorch the ship hull and maybe knock it around a bit

@yoshitsune555 i guess ur right, havent really thought about that, but i guess that would still be better then doing nothing (before Asgard beams) as any other conventional ordinance was usualy being intercepted by darts anyway. And theres this thing about hives going boom in the vicinity of another expoloding hive which we've seen couple of times in the series too, tho it migh have had more to do with ship parts and leftover atmosphere of that ship impacting the other one...

@yoshitsune555 we've also seen one nuke reaching the hive was enough to disable it 0:30 so theoretically beaming a warhead just close enough should do the trick, thou we have no way of knowing how much the jamming field spreads outside the hive itself.

I know about thrust vectoring, and upon looking up the latest version of the AIM 9 it is reported as having thrust vectoring. But it has smaller fins than the missile here, It's plausible though I guess.

What I learned from the latter part of SG-1: the Ori will kick your ass, unless you have the latest greatest Asgard stuff. Then you sort of kick everyone's ass. (Except, apparently, the Lucian Alliance Ha'tak's from SGU)

SGU was supposed to bring in a lot of the younger SciFi crowd that was into Farscape and Amanda Tappings new show. It was truly amazing when you think about it and if you are a fan of the franchise then you should be a fan of SGU

I have to say this, I stopped being a fan when the SG teams began beating up the bad guys predictably and the storylines became rather lame. But this... this is an epic use of the special effects relating to the sci fi elements and captures the feel of science fiction as it should be. You have done a superb job JaapVSW with this video and I hope you do more like it from other series where you take the focus off the humans and put it on the technology.

I think an ori ship fits 3 times in a hiveship. compare the the deadalus with a hiveship in SGA 2x20/3x1 and SG1 10x20 you'll see it too.
