And this explains WHY five Centuries BEFORE the qu'ron was ever written, the book of John begins by telling us that in the BEGINNING Jesus was WITH God and Jesus WAS God; and that BY Jesus were ALL things made. It explains why Jesus did NOT have a human father. It answers the Old Testament's question about the NAME of God's SON and how the Father and Son are ONE ( as in "let us make man in OUR image and likeness").

He states that THE SON OF MAN is in HEAVEN (with GOD), and then He goes on to answer the question of God's Son's NAME, saying that whosoever believes on the Son of GOD and even on His NAME shall be saved and whosoever does NOT believe on the SON is condemned and shall NOT see life. Jesus is saying He is The Son of man, The Son of God, and that He is GOD.

@pearljamaltr death is not seen as an 'eternal pit' but a door to pass to the afterlife (it has no negative connotations) and technically speaking Islam is a religion. Also, it is a basic human right to have the freedom of religion so wiping Islam from this earth by force would be an ablation of human rights...just saying
