Jesus and the apostles gave us those laws, all based on love and a new way of worshiping, as we find in Acts 2:37-42ff. Hebrews 8:7-13 shows the Old Covenant is obsolete. Hebrews 9:14,15 shows that Christ's death brought us a New Covenant. Romans 7, we're free from Old Law, including the Ten Commandments; Hebrews 8,9 show us the New replaces the Old.

Which part of the Law is Paul talking about? Just the ordinances or the sacrifices?? I think it's obvious. This is the tenth of the Ten Commandments. In 8-25, Paul goes through how THAT LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS caused his spiritual death, and he was helpless before that Law.

I find this video interesting. However, I got stuck on your comments about the sabbath in Colossians 2:16. When I studied this in the OT, I found it pretty cut-and-dried, bc of the familiar language Paul is here using from the OT, that this IS speaking of the Sabbath Day. #1. Literally, in the Greek, according to Nestle's interlinear, the literal is "sabbaths." The first time "sabbaths" is used in the OT, according to Strongs, it is the 7th day Sabbath. Check out Exodus 31:13,14.

We do not "follow" God, because he doesn't go anywhere --- He Is. We follow men whom God appointed as leaders of His Church. That's why we have apostles and presbyters, not just disciples, and one Peter. About the day of rest, see Heb. 4 and St. Justin's writings (e.g. wikipedia/wiki/Justin_martyr).

I wonder....is this a 7th Day Adventist film? I know they are pretty hung up on "the Sabbath" day and the mosaic law.... Okay, one more post. This does not mean we are free to sin! We are under a New Covenant. This covenant has laws, just like the old one did. Jesus and the apostles gave us those laws, all based on love and a new way of worshiping, as we find in Acts 2:37-42ff. Hebrews 8:7-13 shows the Old Covenant is obsolete. Hebrews 9:14,15 shows that Christ's death brought us a New Covenant. Romans 7, we're free from Old Law, including the Ten Commandments; Hebrews 8,9 show us the New replaces the Old.

Which part of the Law is Paul talking about? Just the ordinances or the sacrifices?? I think it's obvious. This is the tenth of the Ten Commandments. In 8-25, Paul goes through how THAT LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS caused his spiritual death, and he was helpless before that Law.

Let the Bible interpret itself! There was one other time when "sabbaths" was used, when not referring to the 7th day.

I find this video interesting. However, I got stuck on your comments about the sabbath in Colossians 2:16. When I studied this in the OT, I found it pretty cut-and-dried, bc of the familiar language Paul is here using from the OT, that this IS speaking of the Sabbath Day. #1. Literally, in the Greek, according to Nestle's interlinear, the literal is "sabbaths." The first time "sabbaths" is used in the OT, according to Strongs, it is the 7th day Sabbath. Check out Exodus 31:13,14.

my dad was catholic all his life, and one day I asked him "what day is the 7th day"?? he replied " saturday". so dont tell me 73 books or 66 books matter when man changes the Laws God wrote in stone with his own divine finger, and has no scripture to back it up even if they had 100 books, i've read the wisdom of solomon but he fell off, he died worshipping evil pagan gods, not YAHWEH, no wisdom there dudes, all his wisdom was and is God's mind!! There are many versions compiled by silly people, but there is one Bible, and there is one authority that decides what is part of it and what the writings mean: The Church. And she says it's 73 books, not 66. I can compile my own bible with 54 books, or 106... will that mean there's another Bible now? No, it's just me being silly. Just like the Jews when they rejected books that had already been accepted. Just like Luther when he ratified that.

@coldsoulschmidtbull There are many books, many writings. Many inspired ones, even outside the Bible. We are guaranteed that what is in the Bible is inspired, but not of the contrapositive. We do not "follow" God, because he doesn't go anywhere --- He Is. We follow men whom God appointed as leaders of His Church. That's why we have apostles and presbyters, not just disciples, and one Peter. About the day of rest, see Heb. 4 and St. Justin's writings (e.g. wikipedia/wiki/Justin_martyr).

I follow the ways and teachings of the Lord God, through his law of peace and righteousness, the 10 commandments, God wrote those himself! not a man!, in stone which symbolizes for eternity. Most of all the truthers who I have listened to over the past 7 or 8 years have turned out to be shills. manipulating the people to walk in fear and to cause rebellion and outrage. God is allowing all this and is being very merciful. He is allowing all to witness the horror to come, these days are appetizers, and is yet granting the opportunity to repent and accept Christ Jesus. we are being manipulated on every level. Why do you never hear about this new world order in churches? Either they don't know, which is unacceptable, or they know and are failing to warn the sheep. Why don' they know? Are they masons? Who do they endorse? Who are they affiliated with? Anyone who is easily accessed on any media should be scrutinized. I have been researching this for years (40+hr/week), have many books and a clear conscience. I warn you all, research all who you hear!!

@picazo57 what u mention is where paul is addressing the days held as holy in the pagan religions that the gentiles he went to were used to celebrating not the days held holy in the bible. as u see even after the death of christ, the apostles kept the holy days. also u see in acts 10 and 11 that peter would not eat anything unclean even at what he thought was the behest of god himself (the dream was not about food overall but this shows that peter still obeyed the laws mentioned at lev11. blessu

The Earth couldn't hold all the books written about the miracles that Jesus performed. The King James Version (66) was found to have over 20,000 erros in it within the first two years of it's printing. King James was a 33rd degree mason. The Catholic Bible(s) had 73 (& 81) yet within the first century there were 144 books that were used by the early church & most never even spoke of the crucifixion of Jesus. The Bible was altered to fit the pagan Roman religion of Mithraism. We've been lied to.
