Today I found one of these baby orioles on the ground and he/she had fallen out of the nest (which is very high up I might add). It's fine and still healthy, and the mother and father bird are watching it, protecting it, and feeding it. I'm afraid that the baby bird won't survive the night, is there anything I can do? I would assume that it's probably the same age as the birds in your video because it looks exactly the same. Help!
How rare this is! My hooded orioles are so skittish that I can't get anywhere near them--let alone their nests. In our area they nest way up in palm trees or other tall trees. Congratulations on this video. Well done.
