flat foot shifting is bad with or with out a tune and the rx8 speedo registers speed when rolling backwards. u can tell this engine is modified significantly because of how fast it revs. sweet 8 man mine needs some work to be at the same level as yours

Quit trying to prove something. The renesis is a slow motor unless FI. Even then you can't make huge power. If you are on rx8club, i would like to know who you are.
@TrevorsTII The Renesis is a powerful motor when you actually look at it's displacement. Get 232 N/A HP from a 1.3L N/A piston engine. Oh, wait, you can't.
my question to you, because I own an 8, is did you powershift? (foot all the way down on gas while shifting) because I wasn't sure if the tranny could handle it on 8's. I know you can do it in mustangs though..
I am sorry to say that but it was not uphill. In fact it was downhill and this can be seen when you are about to launch and you let off the brake, before you hear the wheels spin, you can clearly see that you already have 2-3 miles on the counter. Try again please this time on a straight road cause a N/A Rx8 can never do a 5.5s 60 mile run.
@Zilgamor you thick? you can clearly see on the fucking speedo how fast he does it so what if it creeps to 2 mph lol. Driving an rx8 myself i realise just how fast he does this. btw x2004rx8 i took mine on a dyno run this weekend got 228.8 bhp @ 8990 rpm and like 141 lbft @6100 quite impressed tbh 5y.o and was expecting about 220.
@Zilgamor Mine has with a good launch. also, if you go backwards, it shows a positive speed as well. If he is putting 220 to the wheels, it will do 5.5. I have done 5.8 with 185 to the wheels in my 8 a few times. these cars require a good launch no doubt but, they are faster than many think. I get races all the time and have disappointed quite a few people who thought they would win. they even ask me if it is turboed and it is not. Just the usual mods on mine, nothing fancy.

Ive got cat back and de-cat on mine atm and im going on a dyno run next week before i start tinkering with fuelling and remap it. was looking at that race flash is it worth it? what increases did you see from it. im in the UK too.
@Lister2300 research the ports well my friend. Certain porting can cause your engine to have a premature death. Or it will require very frequent rebuidls. Just some friendly advice.
@jedimastercroft My car can do this and I have no turbo. My mods are: Fuel injector, Fuel pump, underdriven pulley, HKS exhaust, hypertech programmer and ECU not mazdamaniac) stage 2 clutch w lite flywheel, and cosmetic shat. The one thing that helps more than anything was that programmer. They are expensive, but if you know the history of RX8's, Mazda changed settings for US standards and big loss in HP. Reset and back up.

@IThuggerI Usually you have to get a tune for that. That's known as "flat foot" shifting and is very bad unless you tune =)
