I have a stock 2wd 1997 Dakota with a stock locking dif. So why does every video I see of a Dakota does not have locking dif? Nice video though

@therock1126 because Daks never came with rear lockers. My guess is it was installed at the dealership at someones request, and that someone ended up backing up. My 97 4by has a LSD but thats it. It would be nice to have a locker tho! haha

tires are the key, i got 31x 12'' wide super swampers on my 2wd dakota with locker and it gets in ridiculous spots and it tows toyotas out of pits no problemo

This dude is just making this awsome truck like some else said before.. I have a Dodge Dakota with the 5.9 and it is the monster even in soft sand.. Another option is if one of your tires starts spining and the other is not is put it on 4 low and step at the break and gas it locks both tires good tip its awsome how it works you guys give it a try.

it was in 4x4 if you didnt notice, but i do agree these trucks are great climbers, if anything he should have put it in 4 low and just watch it crawl up that hill without him having to do anything other then give it a little gas. (i own a 96 3.9l v6 magnum and fuck can it climb, got to do a bit of work on it though be for i go back out again... the 4x4 shifter kinda droped a bit the last time i went out in it =(... oh well, she still works properly and runs top notch)
