I did Tae-Bo for 3 years before I started Wing Chun. I studied moves by Steven Seagal from all his movies and have perfected all of his moves. With all my knowledge, I can now punch through brick walls like Neo. And by the way, I used to date trinity.
The refinement, the beauty and the power of the martial arts of China continental were obtained through men generations and generations that were dedicated arduously to the body knowledge, of the mind and of the spirit. The tradition is essential in the perpetuation and perfection of the martial arts of China continental.
Bruce Lee did not conclude his studies of WING CHUN, did not study and did not practice step-by-step all the levels that a Chinese martial art demands.
bruce lee is so fast he interrupts his emotional tenses. what means is; bruce lee shuts u down right before u are about to do ur attack. bruce lee ftw.
well without old generation there will be no new generation bruce lee is still the best most MMA artist respects him even other martial artist he still the best because he got the talent of great accuracy according to some matial artist who know bruce lee plus he was age 30 something when he die so he die young and he already got that talent of most martial arts and he is very quick learner he learn one style took him 2 months other people is like 2 years to complete the style like karate
Bruce Lee was more of a physical anomally. His teachings were great and meant a lot, but so many think if they simply followed his JKD then they would be great fighters. Bruce was unique and he couldn't teach anyone to be as good as him. He had the things you can't teach, speed, power, and reflexes.
I respectfully disagree. Those of us who grew up training and watching Lee tend to make the man into a myth. Lee was a physical anomaly yes; a rare combination of natural talent, grace and zeal but there are many people who've come after him who rival his technique.
If anything, Lee raised the bar like no one had but there are a great many who were inspired by him who raised the game above him. I'm sure he'd be proud of that.
I can tell you that before I took Wing Chun, I was a pushover... fairly weak, feeble, and even a little clumsy. After several years of intense training, Ive been called "Graceful as a Swan", which was a shock until I realized how far Id progressed. Its all in the dedication and proper training methods.Lee just happened to b a LOT more dedicated than most ever were, or will be.
I was a pushover week and feeble too. But now that I have been taking Wing Chun I just put that with my additude and stupid kids will just leave me alone. No I have not got in a fight yet. They call you "Graceful as a Swan.'' They call me "little eagle." Peace out! Bruce Lee rules!!
@xiaou2 ..Thats great but Bruce's talents were not limited to just Wing-Chun, Bruce also trained in Boxing, Judo and Hapkido too, so its not just ONE style that makes agreat martial artist its encompassing all styles in order to be the best you can be..This was Bruce's philosophy.
@Dungarth - I dare say I know a lot more about Lee than most. Its true that cross training is beneficial. However, todays typical MMA artists are watered down & imperfected. Students pop out without solid foundations & fall apart quickly in sport, let alone real combat. Lee excelled & triumphed because his foundations were very strong, & every tech he learned, was perfected to its full potentials. Its 1reason why he was able to defeat ppl who had decades more experience + more depth of techs.
It's not rare but it could be viewd as a short lesson. He was being himself and talking about martial arts as he did and taught in real life. Listen to the Pierre Berton interview pt 2.
