Dick Sparrow would be proud of you! His Belgians were fine, but I like Percherons better!!! I just wish you had a video instead of stills. But this was really really great.
Better chance of spooking a wall! That's good. With a team like that who'd need a locomotive. Beautiful, just beautiful. You must go through allot of saddle soap, eh?! Haha. Love all your vids. Thanks for all the smiles you give me! Carrots all around!
@Chuichupachichi yes it is, 26 more than the Borax team, we water them before we hook them up then and after they are done, no need to water in between , Have u worked horses?
No, are you kidding... I'm a city boy. I just think horses are beautiful except for when they're lacking an engine & two wheels because no matter how hard I try, I always manage to progressively bounce to one side or the other until I'm tilted diagonally
But they're still fun... if they're well trained. I just get a protest from my blistered hand after holding on tight to the saddle horn
The only time I've been able to stay upright was when the horses were Cadillacs. I know a father & son that both train Peruvian Walkers. It makes it easy to ride when the horses have luxury smooth-ride, air-bag suspension systems
I like your videos though...with the big teams of horses. Those trainers I know, once took us out to the ranch here in Calif where they keep the Budweiser Clydesdales, the red wagon & the old, arthritic Dalmatians retired from commercials... gentle giants
@hitchmasters I was just speaking hypothetically, I doubt theres a chance any of those horses would spook, obviously thats why they are being used! Awesome horses, and awesome work!
that's pretty sweet! Some day when i get out of college I look forward to training a team and hopefully doing some farming with them, too. I'd imagine it's a little harder for a smaller girl, but I'll give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration. :)
I Like this a lot. it is beyond amazing to me. i like how you guys were using your horses instead of some modern machine. you do it using real horse power.
I'm curious, where is the pair hitched? Because it looks to be four abreast front to back (Though I could be wrong?) and that would be either 44 or 48...
Not matter the number, however, what an amazing, insane set up! I take long enough just tacking up my one horse, let alone near fifty in harness!

This is an absolutely incredible sight - never seen so many horses strung together! Where do you keep all these animals - you must have a lot of stabling and also a lot of work keeping them mucked out.
This is Awsome, no lie. I saw a 40 horse pull on PBS it was a circus parade in Milwaukee Wisconsin. We raise horses and this is absolutly incredible. Where are you located?
Yes working with the Percheron's was the best, I loved every minute, But the people not so much, I made some real good friends for life but I lost a lot of respect for a few
This is AWESOME!!! I showed Percherons for about 13 years and am in the process of getting my judges card. The biggest hitch I ever drove was a 6 although tandem and unicorn were always more fun!! I am proud to see this hitch in black & white so to speak!! I was in the Great Circus Parade for years and only ever saw the 40 horse in brown. So to see a 46 in black and white is pretty cool. This is definately a site to see!
thanks, say check out my home page by clicking on the lttle bue ( hitchmasters ) Icon at the bottom of my videos and see my 6 and 8 horse hitch doing demo drives
i just learned how to do 4 horse hitch (But i'm only 11 so..) I had to use 2 reins in each hand so how did you use only one rein for like single cart hitch????
Well I was your age when I started to drive hitchs, so keep it up! in real big hitches we use buck backs, its a strap that runs from each side of the horses mouth up over there backs then a strap goes from that one down in to the evener so they cant get to far ahead
Wow Neil!!!! That was awesome! you're one of the few in this world that could do something like this! WOW that is something!!!!!! Great jod!!!!! Beautiful Horses too!
WOW!...i own six percheron draft horses.I love them. They are gentle giants.I cant wait to show my dad this video!lol....hell probably be mad he wasnt the first one to do this hehe=Dthey are beautiful! are they all yours?
