I have since reskinned the drum and inserted a little piece of 4B2 to take the rather tinny sound out of it so it sounds a little better now. Thank you for your comment Bohgpipes. I actually picked this drum up from the Portobello Road Markets in London for 35 Pounds back in 1980. The date 1912 is faintly etched on the side of the shell underneath the Premier trademark. Occasionally, one is lucky to spot one at market stalls that specialise in militaria, but they are a pretty rare thing nowadays. Best wishes.
