WOW! I use to go to this church 78-82 when I lived in Flint. My mom use to sing in this choir and I have two cousins who are on this recording. They are called the Inspirational Voices.
Does anyone know where I can find this album ? More particular, Revelation 19:1... If anyone has it, can you please post it ? It would be GREATLY appreciated !!
I wish the gospel stations would devote an hour or two to pure gospel music like this. It is so over crowded with secular sounding music. It's hard to know the difference between gospel and r&b. I know that it's all about the "message" but I get tired of "dropping it like it's hot" to gospel while mistaking it for the other stuff.
Though I understand where you're coming from, however, let's not "PLAYA HATE" on Urban Gospel and Gospel Hip-Hop. This version of Gospel is for the Next Generation ONLY (I Feel). Just imagine. This gospel we are listening to now on youtube was considered too bluesy for those who grow up during the Mahilia Jackson and Thomas Dorsey. Just a little music history for thought. Be Blessed. :)
I'm not "playa hating" on anything. If you read my comment carefully, you would see that part of it is a joke. It was just a comment. And if your comment is considered "music history", we're really in trouble.
To be honest with you, I was only commenting to your previous comment. It was just a statement, not an offense, which according to your response it seems you took it that way.
Plus, how can we be in trouble? The only trouble is people not Knowing the truth, especially our young people, about our Music Heritage. Once again, my comment was not meant to offend. Be Blessed.
I feel ya on this... I don't listen to the radio, i stopped years ago...Nor do i watch the so-called gospel award shows the right artist,IMO, are never recognized. I thank God for this style of Gospel it has brought me-ALL THE WAY!-... I do like some hip hop styles of gospel, only if i can get the message, and ain't nothing ever wrong with 'dropping it ,like it's hot' it's like FIRE !!!!
If it wasnt for the music I wouldnt have stayed in church long enough to realize that I needed Christ. It was in a choir rehearsal that I decided to give my life to Christ. Oh I love the word now but when my soul was on its way to a burning hell it was this type of music that calmed the beast within!!! So Glory Halleu.. Sorry I had to get that out. So I thank you Brother for honoring my request and my choir is going to thank you while I'm hammering those harmonies in their heads (lol)
Now Now Everybody lets not wear him out asking for all these posts(smile) Before I get some bad replies It was a joke I asked for this post last week and He posted it for me. I have not heard this song since the radio stations went to cd's Everybody i ask about it has no idea what I'm talking about I thank God for you! This is the music that really convinced me that I needed Christ in my life. A lot of preachers say you cant get saved thru the music but I beg to differ if it wasn't...
i love this version of this song! very few people sing it right! lol! thanks for posting it and can you please post "tell it " off the same album, God bless!
