Why the Gospel of Thomas is not in the New Testament.

The gospil of thomas is strange to us christens as are the nag hammadi gospils i am not sure what to think of them. I wish we had not been denied these teachings i want to read everything about christ not just what others have chosen for us. Thank you for sharing with us

Any Gosphel of the Gnostic books are all fack and made to just promoto their movement ! the gnostics was a Anti-Christian movement to compete with Christianity ! if we accepted every book written on Jesus we would need 10 -- 18 Wheeler to haul them around ! No bull there was thousands of book written about Jesus at the time and most all was thrown away ! Every Tom, dick, and Harry had a Gosphel to look at ! you had to cut them down and O)nly 66 books made it ! Now the CVatholic have 4 more !

This is very interesting. A Man not of God should never be allowed to decide what is the scripture and what is not. Would you allow a doctor to build a bridge or an engineer to perform open heart surgery? I'm sure they could do it after a fashion. How many people have been misled by being given half the story, it is a great crime. The crime of deletion... The creation of palatable truth..for the masses by the ruling dictatorship of the day. @minute90 during Jresus's time there was Gosphel wrote by the Hundreds and do you want to read thousands of Gosphels or 66 like we have it now. Gnostics wrote bunches and a few got published ! It is said if we took all thje books written on Jesus there would take atleast 10 -- 18 Wheelers to carry them around. The lost books that is spoke about is one that was read at the first centry but was burned in the 5th centry !

Thank you sis! The Gospel of Thomas is also the Word of Yahweh, which was manifested in the flesh using the flesh of Thomas, Matthew, Luke, Mark and John to bring the spoken Word of Truth, as the flesh of Jesus also manifested the spoken and written Word of Yahweh!

Anyone in this world that is flesh can manifest the spoken or written Word of Yahweh in the flesh, as our Creator and Father Yahweh makes it so.

In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Yahweh!

So the true words of jesus are not in the bible because no one knows the meaning? But you do, you say. The words are for everyone and have been hidden for a reason. Not because no one would understand them.

What was raised in nag hammadi? The truth, that is why it is not in the bible.

Nice effort that suffers only from the many errors it contains. To name but one, Emperor Constantine lived from 272 to 337. A christian theologian called Origen (185-254) already declared authoritative all of the books of the bible except for 4 that are in the Bible we know today. Fine effort, though.

She is obviously articulate and very well versed in all she knows, however, all she says is what she has either read or had told to her.

If i told her Jesus was a myth, she would have the option to believe me or disregard it as OBVIOUS nonsense!

Jesus said 'I am the way, the truth, and the life'......but his truth has been diluted by the obvious shortcomings of mans sinful nature. How can anyone in this day and age ascertain what is truth or just fallacy?

JESUS is telling THEM that THEY are not ready yet.

Jesus knew the disciples were barely scratching the surface, as THEY struggled to gain perfect wisdom and understanding of heavenly things as they are, and as they are not.

Jesus is telling the 12 disciples that THEY need more time with him in order to survive the spiritual battles against Satan's temptations on their own. They would condemn themselves by praying false vows to YAHWEH. THEY were jobless, therefore not RICH enough to give to charity, so THEY would harm their spirits in reality.

Jesus is telling THEM how Fasting will cause THEM to sin, because if THEY had fasted to cast out demons the next few days, the demons would yet not listen to THEM, Until THEY were completely saturated with Yahweh's spirit of power. If demons did not exit the oppressed person[s], the 12 would think it vanity to fast for power to cast out demons! Therefore causing them to Sin against the holy spirit which works by faith and not by a doubtful sinner. IT is a Sin to doubt the holy spirit of YAHWEH.

roman catholisism its wrong! never mind 330 ad and constantine we have earlier gospel texts and church fathers letters. we have what we need ,read and study and believe the gospel of mathew ,mark , luke the new testanemt with all your heart and you will be saved

I don't think that paul taught that Jesus was God. If you really look at his writings, Paul taught that there was a definite heirarchy to the kingdom. He calls the father 'the God of our Lord Jesus christ' repeatedly. He also describes the father as being over christ as christ is over the church.

That is true. Jesus fought against the Temple System and still the Trinitarians recreated the very same kind of heirarchy as Jesu fought against. That is why the Church of Thomas among others have been forced into hiding until now. Come back and visit sometime. Take care.
