Decolonization is probably the worst thing to happen to Africa, South of the Sahara.

Although I am African American I can envision the day when Africans engineer a sports car called the Panter that can compete with other sports cars in the world. African were ready for independence. Anytime a human being struggles for their rights, they are ready for independence. The colonizer propagates the notion that those he/she has colonized are not ready for freedom. In his eys they never will be that's why Africans have to see the world through their own eyes.

The problem with decolonization was that the colonies where not ready for independence. It was far to fast and replaced colonial officers with people who didn't know what they where doing. This is why South Africa became the richest and strongest country in Africa, where even the black Africans lived longer and better lives then their counterparts in other countries.

Brother Kwame Nkrumah, Brother Patrice Lumumba and Brother Sekou Ture were the three main African leaders that demanded that Africa should be now be capable of running our own affairs because they weren't going to wait any longer, to be told what to do by these so-called Western powers.

We had to fight so vigoriously for our countries to win their independence and self-conscious African leaders such as Nkrumah, Lumumba and Sekou Ture made sure that Africa can run her own state of affairs.

President Nkrumah was an outstanding president among african presidents.

I never met him but he lives in my heart. He was a leader who did his best for his people of Ghana and other african countries. He paved the way to sucess in leadership. I love you president Nkrumah. May your soul rest in perfect peace.

Kwame Nkrumah was a great leader and wonderfull president by helping ghana and other nations come together as one and brought the best out of the citizens of ghana. he is one of my favorite african president.

I support everything you are saying about Doctor Kwame Nkrumah, he was a man who wasb't about failure, because he set out in what he wanted to acccomplish and that's the freedom of Africans as a whole and Doctor Kwame Nkrumah wanted to make sure, Africans that we were first in line in order to be liberated.

Decolonization was important but stupid in handing over power so soon when there was no experience in bureaucratic government..

If we had waited and stood alongside Africa maybe there wouldn't have been Rwanda, Uganda or D.R.Congo Wars etc.. It didn't help that Westerns supplied all the weapons for these wars

I couldn't agree with you, because it was right for us to breakaway from a greedy and a dangerous die-harded powers that wanted to control and divide Africa further and further.

I am so blessed that our nations finally won our freedom and to make us be our own leaders than being their dogs etc.

You forget the fact that in many case decolonizations of Africa was indirectly forced upon European powers and that in most cases decolonizations were bloody .

I give you the saying De Gaulle (French President at the time) said to French colonials in Algeria : "Suitcase or coffin" ("La valise ou le cercueil")

That illustrates decolonization well.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah is the greatest African, His plans for Africa is soo far ahead that, no leader up till now has ever dared do half of what he was able to accomplish... I know for a fact if Africa is blessed with another Dr Kwame Nkrumah, my continent would be a better place to be in. Not only Brother Kwame Nkrumah and Brother Sekou Ture had the sharp vision amongst Africans, but also Brother Patrice Lumumba, Brother Amilcar Cabral, Brother Thomas Sankara, Brother Julus Nyerere, Brother Jomo Keynatta and Brother Robert Mugabe.

These are our great leaders of our world, that uplifted Africans up and down.
