Lemme tell u about Golden Eye. James Bond is betrayed by his partner, 006 because James betrayed him first, and tried to destroy part or all of the world by usinga program called goldeneye. In the jail, Ouromov killed the guy that tried to kill james so that he can hand him a gun and kill him first. Ourumov's partner/assassin Xenia Onatopp (not the 1 in the car) literally has sex with ppl she doesnt know until they dies. LISTEN to her name Xenia ONATOPP, get it now? in the end 006 dies falling

Actually Daniel Craig is probably more true to the "real Bond", because Bond is supposed to be cold and serious.

He isn't even really an agent in the books, he's an ornithologist, and Ian Fleming wanted Bond to be more of a "normal guy", and in the beginning he actually thought Sean Connery was too much of a super-hero.

That doesn't mean I prefer Daniel Craig though, Pierce Brosnan is better.

OK I prefer old school Bond movies but GoldenEye was very unique Action/Adventure movie - great storyline, impressive visual effects. This movie opened "The New Era Bond Movies". I can't say that Pierce Brosnan was #1 Bond but he looked great in this role. Sean Bean was perfect villain. Famke Janssen was brilliant Bond Girl - real bad ass.

I also love Tina Turner's theme song - very memorable.

Well if my memory serves me correctly since I probably last saw this a year ago, Travelyan was a Cossack adopted by MI6 as a child, whose family was murdered by some betrayal of the British government.
