@ninjaguy4561 thanks for the post! The 2010 camp is already done last month, go to our channel and you can see the 2009 and 2010 video on that page! Check out our website and you can get all of the information to the upcoming events.
Actually yes they did, they were older one shot firearms, but the "art" of fire and explosives is called "katon-no-jutsu" and the art of the use of firearms is called "teppojutsu" some schools call it "hojutsu". THANKS FOR THE POST ***BUDO RYU STAFF***
@LamboMaN891 - Yes is the art of stealth, information gathering, etc, etc. But fire and explosives was also part of the training. Look up Teppojutsu, you will see the samurai and the ninja both used this method. Now the firearms were not the same then as they are now, without question, but yes the art of firearms, or teppojutsu was used in connection to Katon-no-jutsu. "sniping" if you will is the art of stealth, in certain situations.
Actually ninja had to be skilled in many weapon forms as their situation changed and they needed to adapt. Ninja were paid mercs who were hired to make pollitical assasinations in the times of the samurai. Samurai were middle - upper class of society. Ninja were the best of the lower class. Often the best of all three classes. Ninja today, train with guns also.
Ninjas actually were working with samurai. Take the shinsengumi for one, full of ronin turned samurai for the emperor, but they had ninja with them. Ninjas weren't lower class, they just lived seperately. Also ninja weren't assassinators, only some were. A lot just stood by the road and acted like farmers, the best way to get information back then was just to keep your eyes open by a trade route, go to new york or beijing and listen on people's conversations, you'd be surprised what you hear
The 2009 Stealth Camp is August 28th and 29th. If you are interested in coming in to train let us know, we can help you with any travel plans and arrangements that you might need.

@BudoRyuNinjutsuDojo Shinobi used firearms?I thought it was always known as the "silent way".Wouldnt that kinda defeat the purpose of stealth?
