i have a frog. at the track every one is racing the brand new team associated buggys and ofna. i showed up at the track with my 4 wheeler and a tamiya frog in my backpack and about 5 parts and 3 tools. everyone has these big tables. i was working on mine on the ground. i HAD a paradox 27 turn motor in it. at the line up half of the guys were laughing. until i pinned the throttle and took off like a freakin bullet. i was gliding over the top of the whoops. i roosted this 1 guys SC truck.

im lookin at one of these on ebay to repalce my frog which blew up and is too expensive to repair and iv got one of the tamtech frogs with a bl oil damprs a bumper kit and 110th hubs for touring car tires if i get the hornet i will put a traxxas 12t titan 550 motor and a 8 cell nicad in it for more speed and to compete with brushless guys with the b4s and stuff
Hi To answer your question the hornet was originally relased in 1984 as a begginers buggy. It was re-relased a couple of years ago now by tamiya and is still avalible through most good model shops you can buy the basic kit with motor and ESC or most shops will do an all in package radio set etc.. Its very basic and isnt great at all in the handeling department but it is alot of fun no doubt and can go pretty quickly in a straight line with the right motor. Hope thats of some use to you!
im hoping to by my friends off of him for 50 bucks (it has no controller) and its kinda beat up so yah i have to ask him! (hope he says yes ebay is to expensive!)
my friend has an original the hornet and an original the frog. he drives them both around (he doesnt drive the frog round much, doesnt want to break it)
