@sigair sweet when i was in CAP we used to go to Patuxent river NAS and fly the f/a-18 sim and v-22 sim. im 22 now. wanna get back into it one day and become a senior member.
Yeaa these simulators are amazing, very realistic and close to the real thing. Im only 13 and have flown Cessna 152's and 172's pretty much all by myself. Takeoff, cruising, landings, ILS, VFR, IFR. But I have always wanted to come in a real simulator like this, but they are super expensive. In England I saw a sim that is super realistic and feels good, but it costs about 5K a group to go in. Amazing.
Hey man, I just started flying when I was 14 for Civil Air patrol. This is how we got into this thing. Im still in flight school and hoping to do my solo by september. If you are from the states, you should join this program. We are a the Air Force Aux.
Wait wait wait wait. Hold the phone. So you can join the Civil Air Patrol when you are 14? Do you actually get to fly real aircraft, go along on real aircraft, or fly simulators? And what do you do in the Civil Air Patrol? I am 14 years old and I LOVE flying. All options above are perectly fine with me. Also, how would I join? Thanks for any details!
you can actualy join when you are 12. We do search and rescue, emergency services, vlunteering and leader ship. Pretty much the way you join is that you go to a local meeting and just show up and talk to them. We have alot of connections and you get 6 free CAP flights and at encampment you get to ride in a plane. In ny we fly in a C130
Yea, I looked on their website. Seems a little too military for me. But something I would definetly be intrested in if I was intrested more in military aircraft and operations.
yeh iv been in gliders with air cadets and im hopeing to get wings soon so ill have to do my slol flight but oneday i hope to be in a sim for real training to be a airbus pilot either a319 a320 a340 or a380!
Im 15 an ive flown cessna 172 owned 1 in fact a piper cub piper warrior piper cheyokie piper arrow piper saratogo piper senica 5 piper tomahawk t-6 texn boeing stwerman dahavilland chipmunk and tiger moth and also a citation a lear jet 45 and a boeing 737-800 on the sim
@liamdunfey Ahh, I don't live in the UK actually, sorry if that confused you. I live in Bermuda but I take yearly flights up to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to fly a Harvs Air at St. Andrews Airfield... amazing airport that I've fallen in love with! Although, I am british considering Bermuda is a british colony :) Sorry if that confused you a bit.
@Jetplane1123 lol its alright. You guys are pretty good down on the islands. My dad was down there on a cruise last week. And last july we cruised out to grandy cayemen.
When I was in new jersey I got to try the F-16 Simulator. For the 175th air national guard SOOO MUCH FUN lol. I live close to this base. Gonna email them about this lol. See if I can get a try.
I'm going with CAP tomorrow i cant wait.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy flying "Flight Simulator"?
(2) What does make us to play Flight Simulator over and over again?
(3) What is the fun to flying in a way that can only be accomplish in "Flight Simulator"? (eg. landing a C5 on a carrier on the sea)
(4) if Flight Simulator allow us to choose your desired jet engines, will this be fun for players?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
