  • That's cute.

  • Hardest pecker?

  • I don't get it, what's so funny?

  • OH DARN IT!! I was planning on getting a raven and name him edgar in the future! I'd call him edgar as a reference to Edgar Allan Poe! Get it? I guess you beat me to it! LOL

  • Whats the difference between a raven and a crow? Crow is a little chewier.

  • @serenitygarden84 ~ almost funny.

  • I thought Ravens and Crows were the same thing, even after researching what the difference was but didn't really get any answer :/ Guess I never looked in the right spot.

May as well ask, whats the difference between a Raven and a Crow? They in the same family? Is there any obvious visual differences?

probably dumb questions but its better to ask then to be all herp derp and assume they're the same animal.

  • @o0AquaDragon0o Crow's are smaller, have a more pointed beak while Ravens have a more rounded top. Ravens also have more prominent wings, you can see when they're spreading their wings they have 'fingers'.

  • @ShnarfMyDarf ~ excellent answer :)

  • @o0AquaDragon0o ~ Look at my video "Crow vs Raven in size".

  • aya vs okuu

  • are pet ravens legal if so do you have to have a liscence

  • @kevinalan9 It is not legal to have a corvid as a pet in the United States as they are migratory birds and protected. You can have one as a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, or are working under a licensed rehabber. I don't consider them pets; they are rescues :)

You can obtain a hybrid Raven from Corvid Ranch (Google them).

  • @euromerc Actually, you can have a raven as a pet. You do, however, need a licence, as they are, technically, exotic pets. If you were to have a monkey as a pet, for example, you would need a licence for the same reason: exotic pet.

My advice, if you were to get a raven, get two, as they are super intelligent and can get bored very easily. Also, have a wide open space where they can fly, and make sure there is a lot for them to do.

  • that's cute watching them together

  • a Raver ?

  • so lovelyyyy !!!

  • monkey see monkey do.

  • Should have named the crow Brandon lol

  • Their starting a band. But that can't agree who should be on drums.

  • Did naming the raven Edgar have anything to do with Edgar Allen Poe and his craze for ravens?

  • i just love this kinf of birds ravens and crows, so beautiful

  • even the name itself of the video is a pun... so tempted for a 'thats what she said!' joke...

  • Oh My God those two are so beautiful I've always loved Crows and Ravens beautiful birds , I think these are the most beautiful of all gods creatures . :)

  • Oh my gosh-you have both a Raven and a Crow?! Luckyyyyyyy !!!!

  • yes ive had a pet crow there very hard too get them too grow up i had a baby one aswell as a grown up what ever you do let it struggle for its food or else it will get lazy and not use the back legs making the bird not use them at all. that one died on me

  • Do they talk?

  • "hardest pecker" come on. 0:48 thats what she said

  • @aaronwatrous012 Dammit! You got there first...

  • arent crows able to projectile shit at things?

  • @DrPoon ~ yes.

  • @DrPoon Many birds can. Chickens can very well.

  • nawww they think theres food in the carpet thats cute

  • :) nice animals

  • I LOVE that Raven... I'd LOVE to get one!

  • @Hopper3513 - Google "Corvid Ranch" in Alabama.

  • Their bills are definitely shaped differently, the raven's looks a lot more bulkier. Thanks for the vid! Now I'll be able to tell which one is which!

  • @mythical89 ~ Ravens have much larger feet, too.

  • i think its safe to say i have the hardest pecker...........couldnt resist, u brought that on urself

  • @screamit1 ~ Ah, but that's what brought you to this page, isn't it ;)

  • Cute video :) I love watching the wild ravens here pecking out "avian morse code" on tree branches.

  • how do you clean the carpet when they poop?

  • @joyceyang95 ~ with "Poop Off" or "Odoban". It IS hard to get out.

  • hey w8 a second isnt ravens r crows or what

sorry im not good with animals so idk

  • I really really want one (Pied Crow) but I am not ready to commit yet. Someday maybe. For now I feed the crow that hangs around my house.

  • Your Raven seems so small compared to the ones I saw up North. I used to see that behavior in chickens that I had. The roosters would do that to make the hens think he found food. When they came over to investigate, he would talk them into having a "romantic" encounter. :-)

  • Edgar is small compared to a Common Raven. He is an African Pied-Crow/White-necked Raven hybrid :) I have a juvenile raven "Duncan" that is a Common Raven, and is as large as Edgar, although not full grown. Do you still have chickens? I've heard of a lot of people having them for pets.

  • No, I don't have them anymore only a few ducks and a parrot named Sam.

  • LOL... corvid rivalry!
