  • we need a diesel electric hybrid doing 300 mpg!

  • are they importing them to the u.s????

  • That sounds spectacular

  • just need to turn up the fuel knob and then bigger turbo. thats all

  • i love diesel moto sound du du du!

  • "Uhh" whitewolf you're a moron and you obviously no nothing about diesel engines and the fact that they are superior to spark ignition engines in every way. Especially efficiency.

  • except for sound...

  • and weight..

  • Amen to that. 65% thermal efficiency vs. 20%.

  • 65/25 neither accurate!

  • i love that turbo whistle. weeeeeeeee

  • except acceleration..

  • Petrol engines have better power to weight ratio.

  • @Laofse not with a turbo on a diesel. Diesels proportionally get better fuel economy

  • @Jay500500500 Then, what about a turbo on a petrol engine? Yes, diesels are more efficient, but i will always prefer petrol. ^^

  • @Laofse turbos are not quite as good on petrols. It has to do with the way a diesel combusts the fuel. On a motorcycle torque is king anyway, Sometimes a nice supercharged petrol Camaro or Monaro is nice, but on motorcycles, you really just need torque, due to the way a motorcycle is geared.

  • @Jay500500500 Seems like turbos work very well on petrol engines.

  • diesel 4ever

  • Sounds like a tractor. Neat though.

  • how old are You?

    go back to primary school.

have You ever heard about torque?

  • Look up the Thunderstar 1200 bud. That bike has got more torque than any comparable sportbike, all thanks to the ENORMOUS power diesel engines produce. In fact, modern diesel engines could pretty much make gas engines obselete with their enormous efficiency and power.

  • CDI FTW

  • scrap 2stroke engines they burn too much oil and stink diesel is the future

  • Diesel Isn't 2 stroke. it has 4 strokes, intake, compression, combustion, exhaust that are completed in 2 complete revolutions of the crank. The only diference is that diesel is fed directly to the combustion chamber, close to tdc, and it self ignited by compression. In gasoline engines, the fuel is fed mixtured with air during the intake stroke, and ignited by a spark plug.

P.S.: Diesel can be 2 stroke two, but is not used in light vehicles. it's used in stationary machinery, and locomotives.

  • Super/Turbocharged 2 strokes also appear in some Prime movers and Coach Buses (Neither of these is very light :) )

  • finaly nice to hear some who knows wat the hell there talkin bout wickedTRX

  • I tried this bike, it's very good.

  • @WickedTRX Until 1998, 2 stroke Detroits were used in literally EVERYTHING. Buses, trucks, locomotives, vessels of all sizes, you name it. They are still popular for use in Fire Trucks, and anything else that isn't subject to ridiculous emissions standards.

  • nice

  • What's the fuel efficiency?

  • one tank lasts about 4 weeks on 30miles a day.
