Trust me, I play MLG and I am currently ranked 32 in teamdeath match in the lobby leader boards! If you think I'm lying check me out. My xbox live name is Beastlymonster7 and I am 15th prestige level 50. I know a few tricks and dropshotting is one of them. Soon you will be hopping in the air around people then dropshoting behind them while shooting at the same time like I do.

For eny of you having trouble drop shotting. Now the tip for me is to drop shot allway have your look sensitivity set on two.Then stick you button layout to tactical. This will alow you to drop and shoot at the same time because your pressing the anolog stick to drop instead of the B button. Once you have tactical on it does take a while to get used to it because your pressing B to nice instead of the anolog stick. It might take a while for your brain to ajust.

@JaketehManx i dont think that would help any. if the enemy is within a reasonable distance, pre-fire is very -affective. u really have to get use to, and practice pre-fire to understand at what distance it will help u win a gun fight.

I have both Ps3 and Xbox, and I simply cannot dispute that the ps3 controller is far far superior. There is no massive dead zone in the joysticks, and I can comfortably play on 9 sensitivity on ps3 (which feels much higher than xbox 9 sensitivity), and can shoot extremely accurately across the map. The xbox in my opinion requires the lower sensitivities in order to shoot accurately at ranges because the controller just simply is the limiting factor to your accuracy.

Everyone knows to use sensitivity 2 - 5 and no vibration.

Shoot first aim second? Who the hell doesn't pull the trigger right when they see an enemy other than complete noobs?

Then just telling people to halo jump and drop shot... Once again, obvious. Although, both of those aren't really aiming, it's just about moving your character and winning gun fights.

Im rated r's black ops OBJ, and I use 2 sensitivity. The key is to aim at them from the hip and THEN ads and shoot. high hipfire sens + low ads sens = best of both worlds

I've always wondered how awful these "MLG" players would play in a game without relying on their High Frequency Headset, and their FPS Freaks. Oh, that's right, they need those to be "Professional". That is not professional gaming at all.

FPS Freaks are like training wheels on a Bike. Your too old to be using them, it's time to take them off and go Pro!

What i'm saying is pro players are good because of their general gun skill, knowledge of the maps and spawns, nade lines etc. I guarantee pro players could go into pub matches or scrims and still come out on top. Headsets help with sound but communication is biggest part of being good. If you have decent gun skill but great communication you can put up a fight. Pros play smart headset or no headset they have strats

When i got my Turtle Beach, i really started to do terrible. Because i just rely on the headset to hear and find out where people are. Do you get my point? Instead of the team actually using teamwork to hunt the last guy down, your just using your Turtle beach to listen for him, and then you'll find him. It ruins the fun.

Many people rely on these headsets to improve their game and sound whore all the time. When I'm playing in a scrim or match is when I pay attention to this. @WarzoneAchievements there is a little thing called communication. a headset not only allows you to help sound whore but also communicate with your team and that communication mixed with execution is what get the win. being able to target where the enemy is by sound is a really good perk. all the pro players use headsets to help them target where an enemy is and in SnD if he's planting the bomb or defusing. you saying headset are for noobs makes you a noob.

I also did not have a hard time playing with my Turtle Beaches. Only on the first day.. then i started to get a little more kills while wearing the Headset. But i still wasn't getting my high scores with the Headset on.

hmm i wouldnt recommend the drop shot for average players. only because average players suck at aiming and when they drop down, i've noticed a lot of people going off target, especially when i jump and shoot at them.

@xLaZeRzzz So you aren't lining up your shot, then firing. You are shooting while aiming to get that kill a second quicker. It doesn't necessarily improve your shot, but increases your chances of winning a gunfight.

With the drop shot I find that at medium range a good player will not find it difficult to readjust partly because of the auto aim whereas in close quarters they have to look much further to get their sights back on you... most of this stuff i knew but at least I know there's not much I'm doing wrong

The thing ive learned from playing a lot is you have to keep calm. The calmer you are the better your shot. If you are yelling and screaming at the game it'll in most cases make your shot terrible.
