@jarwick Very cool! I got to see WAR in a very small venue back in the 90's. They played for a few hours, then they came out into the audience and just chilled out moving from table to table. They sat with my girl and I for about 20 minutes, I'll never forget it, great group of dudes!

Let's make a deal. Without the original this version would never exist, in fact. But Eric's the best. We can't always believe in oldies, we must work on new things, and that's exactly what Burdon does. I know that his version is the best ever, before hearing the others, because Burdon is always the best: "House of the Rising Sun", "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", "Paint it Black", "River Deep Mountain High", no matter what. Burdon IS music, good music!

This is very good - a hard-edged, driving version of the song which is better than the 1950s' original. Eric sounds great, and looks dishy in the 'studio' scenes. It's a pity this hasn't been released on DVD, along with other rare EB/Animals' footage.
