AWESOME! I wanted to make a hoodie (well actually buy one similar to the one I want), but this will make it much easier. And more accurate for what I want. May take awhile but I'll get around to it :D THANK YOU! XD

Good tutorial. However, it would have been easier to sew the full lining together and the full shell together and then sew right sides together all the way round from hem to zipper (wedged between the two layers), round the hood and down the zipper to the other hem. This is how a fully lined tailored jacket is done. Then you could turn through using one of the sleeves (if you left it open) and use tape to stick the correct seam allowance down to sew the cuff.

it would be easier 2 buy a sweater pattern. then just get 2 different types of fabrics and sew ti like she did. because i made my own pattern and the neckline as soooooooooooooooooooooooooo looooow when I finished!!!!

I don't remember the actual name of the tape you used on the zipper is, but that's not bias tape. :3

@1joytowse sorry to just butt in. But basting tape is self-adhesive. Also you could use double sided sticky tape but if you have a fabric store near you. Basting tape is really inexpensive.

@utahjunk if it's the plastic separating one than you can use it for hoodies (don't use it for hoodies if it's not a coil separating)

whats funny is at my walmart (grr no more fabric section D:) they sell regular zippers, but for separating zippers, they only the metal separating zipper
