Well, irony has now insued. The SW author that didn't give a damn about the continuity established by others (Karen Traviss) is now quitting the Star Wars line because some of what she was writing has been retconned. The next Republic Commando book will be her last of the line. Can't say I'll miss her.

I've had the great pleasure and honour of meeting Karen Traviss in person when she came to Liverpool to do a rather small-scale convention here. Not only is she an amazing writers, but an unbelievably friendly and charming woman - as well as an inspiration to budding writers everywhere. If you ever have the chance to meet her, don't pass it up - it's well worth the opportunity even if it means you miss something else.
