I'm curious also as to WHEN this video was recorded. I'm guessing it was back when Jordan was at Indiana University as an Undergraduate student.

I highly recommend his instructional DVD (do a search at Amazon). It's completely fascinating because you learn how he evolved from playing guitar the 'regular' way to the two-handed method. His genius is what caused him to continually reach beyond things as they seem to be.

Doesn't he just tune all in fourths (tuning the two highest strings up a semitone)? This makes playing between strings the same as on the Chapman stick (which employs the tame technique).

He tunes it that way because it simplifies playing intervals on the neck. The third in between the standard tuned G and B strings is there to make it easier to play STRUMMED chords (I believe). If he's not strumming, theres no need to have the confusion of the odd third between the G and the B strings.

I tune my guitar that way, it really simplifies the neck!
