  • nobody is saying the French don't create amazing movies, just that this movie was self indulgent in a particularly French way...grow up

  • Hey AlPal, this is a movie about a family's resilience in the face of a father's selfishness, and how people go about surviving such a crisis. It is not just a story. I found it gripping, sad and very honest.

  • I'd been eyeing this movie for weeks and finally managed to see it tonight. I cannot put into words just how sweet and captivating it was up until the half-way mark. It was sailing towards perfection before crumbling into an unsalvageable waste of a production. All the right pieces were there, but they just couldn't pull it off. I'm still shaking my head. This is where the French can take a cue from American script control -- this movie never would have been it out of an American editing room.

  • @AlPal5000 american script control?? Do you know how many amazing movies the french have created? And how many good and shitty ones american did? *cogh*skyline*cogh*
