Shiva is One the true form who was worshipped from the beginning of mankind Even Demi Gods like Krishna ,Rama and many more worshipped him on the earth He is One in Many and there is None next to him Lord Shiva changes his forms.When HE is the reason behind the creation then HE is called Lord Brahma,when HE takes care then HE is called Lord Vishnu & when HE destroys only due to the naked Truth then HE is called LORD SHIVA..Satyam Shivam Sundaram..Everyone loves HIM..just needs to be recognized.
