It's sickening the amount of wicked sinners in Europe, Britain, and America, sitting at home with their feet up cheering as the PAPAL CRUSADERS drop another 500lb bomb on a mud hut.
You know what, fuck all you guys that say "good job America" I don't see your fuckin' country lending a hand to help these people out. & my country ain't fuckin' BOMBING Afghanistan, idiots..What, are we the only ones now w/ planes & artillery? Pakistanis are bombing Afghanistan.& why ain't their fuckin' government helping them out? Wasn't that guy in the video on the phone w/ his friend who's close to their government or prime minister? you blame us for the fuckin' snow too? dumb asses!
i am sure those 28 thumbs up r not from afghans, its matter of time when these ppl whom u have have hopeless will bring war to ur countries. only then u heartless fat ppl will understand wht war really means.
Hey, relax. I'm an atheist living in heavily Christian America. I was sitting here racking my brains to find a solution and ways to help, and then I remembered... there is no need for anyone the world over to be concerned about this tragedy, for Christians here will just kneel down and pray. Surely, then, *God* will hear them and show compassion and save these people from cold and hunger, right? After all, it was their *God* who informed Bush that it was ok to bomb their country to hell, right?
@Celticlight1 - No, no, no, my friend, you misunderstand. I'm just pointing out that Christians will largely view it as part of "the plan", put their heads in their hands, declare the issue out of their hands, then place their heads in the sand and let the issue lay as it stands. I, on the other hand, have other plans. I actually have contacts in Afghanistan, and I'm doing what I can through resources and this other ungodly man to affect REAL help for the worthy people of the land.
Personally I've never met a Christian with that attitude, but then again I don't live around any Evangelical types as we don't have many here in Ireland and Europe (assuming that is the people you talking about). I know a know a small minority hold that view but this is borne out of apathy.
It can be looked at both ways, some atheists have said that incidents like this is an example of Darwinian theory in the real world. Stupidity is found on all sides.
Regardless, all sorts of people must work together with a united purpose, especially within the same nation and culture, and strive to do what is correct and just. On this Afghan issue it's clear what the problem is..
Otherwise society fragments and becomes socially and morally bankrupt, each side serving their own selfish interest. Sadly there is no higher purpose intrinsic to society today beyond fulfilling material needs and obligations to one's immediate family.
@Celticlight1 -p2- One aspect can be agreed upon: What appear to be repeatable and tremendously usable physical "laws". We discover them through objective examination--science--and rely on them always. All else is subjective. That's why religions can NEVER be looked upon to be a globally intrinsic higher purpose. Largely, the religious have fought against evidence and instead proffer belief as of the cornerstone of truth. Beliefs change from place to place. Science fact does not.
@Celticlight1 -p1- Regarding stupidity: TRUE! Yes, I was speaking of U.S. Christians. I'm the only one in my family who isn't, and let me tell you, their particular denominations seem mainly to teach them to be superstitious, self-righteous hypocrites. I love 'em, but that's how their beliefs, practices, and resultant characters strike me. "Otherwise society fragments..." Very true: the mode of of all aspects: political parties, religious denominations, etc., save for one aspect...
@Celticlight1 -p3- As to working together with a united purpose: Agreed. However, much easier said than done. The questions become: "Who decides "correct and just", and who's methods and agenda do we follow to bring it about?" The answer: We vote. Of course, politics is the epitome of a divisive system. For any side to compromise on strongly held principles is VERY difficult. Thus, lofty ideals are great, but often, as in this case, woefully unrealistic, though I agree.
@Celticlight1 -p4- The ultimate solution is germinating now though most will, at first, view it as the ultimate doomsday scenario made real: Soon, we will be elatedly handing over car keys and entrusting our lives to A.I. to near-eliminate accidents. A.I. tech can be objective, continually advancing, and expanding in awareness; the human mind MUCH less so. Eventually, ~2060, objective governance and resource management by super A.I. will be fairer and will save us from ourselves.
Al-Qaeda did WTC not the Taliban, in fact they're not even on the terror list. It was the US who started this war in Afghanistan, so YOU get your facts straight. The Taliban tried to give Bin Laden to the US multiple times, first they said he should be tried in a neutral nation, but the US rejected it, and one day before the US started the invasion, the Taliban even offered to give Osama up to the US directly, but again the US rejected it. SO no, the Taliban DIDN'T start this.
Muslims didn't "do" 9/11/. Jews didn't do 9/11. Protestants didn't do 9/11. Roman Catholics did 9/11 and it's proven in the book Vatican Assassins by Eric Jon Phelps.
@azaadi8 We help trained and aided the damn Taliban in their tiff w/ the Soviet Union and the Taliban turns on us and hijack planes & crash 'em into our Trade Center & Pentagon & we're the ones who started this? Yeah, I don't think so buddy! Bin Laden & Al Qaeda started this. Get your facts right. I don't agree w/ a lot of shit my country did or has done but w/ what you just said, NO, we did not start this one!
Are you guys serious some of the comments below is just total ignorance. 1) Its easier for you to say finding work is already hard enough for people how have little no education. And if YOU were to encounter the Taliban without any back up its join or die. 2) one of the reasons for many kids is that they need people to manage the land they have to grow crops and what not for income. I don't think 2-3 people can manage a whole plot of land with just medieval tools.
if they would have done something like "work" insted of fighting the usa then they would have fixed there houses and worked insted of fighting then they would planned for the cold.@ 1:33 dont pay the phone bill buy some wood if they were so in need why are they wearing clean nice unripped outfits and have jewelry on?
@levvinski because they know some would die it in our genes to produce more children than their are months to feed look back at most third world country like india, and many african country when times are hard we tend to produce more children because we know some may die.
@levvinski Try becoming desperately, hopelessly, and "appallingly" poor. Perhaps then you'll discover that, no matter how misguided it may seem to be from the perspective of haughty outside observers (such as yourself), the love of children is the only thing worth living for, and their beautiful needing of you and complete dependence upon you is the only thing that gives you a sense of value and pride, especially in a millennias-old culture that values a large family. Do that, THEN be appalled.
A lot of you wouldn't believe the truth unless it was delivered to you by some guy with a tin hat in a cave, and even then you'd eventually accuse that guy of being the CIA. Yes, a healthy level of skepticism is always good, and referencing several media sources for news - not putting all your eggs in one basket - is good, but you fell over the line of reasonable questioning to total paranoia a while back. Sad.
I can't believe how cynical Americans are nowadays. They don't believe that someone can be out of resources sometimes and that everybody is in full control of their lives. Americans are filled with arrogance. and history repeats itself.
