  • So proud to be australian!

  • Impressive. No doubt, a budget film so don´t expect massive battle scenes. Well worth to watch it.

  • my grandfather fought in kakoda. he still lives to tell his stories, he gave me his diary from the whole event. thw war museum wants to buy it off me, but im thinking of just donating it to them.

  • My grandma was and Aussie, and my grandpa is a kiwi, I'm Canadian... when it comes down to it we're all cut from similar cloth, but it just so happens that our(Aussies, Kiwis, Canadian's) cloth is some of the best around

  • Inscribed on the stones at the Isurava Memorial that overlooks the valley below:

    COURAGE | ENDURANCE | MATESHIP | SACRIFICE

  • When I was younger I tried watching this but I was grossed out when the Japanese were using a guy as bayonet practice. I think I might watch it now because I've been watching a lot of war movies recently.

  • Sam as the English, real warriors.

  • Proud to be Aussie. Thanks guys for saving use. I think i can speak for all Aussies when I say THANKYOU SO MUCH..

to the guys bellow why get caught up with statics about what the japs woulda done lets be gratefull for there brave men,

  • where watching this movie in History for school lol

  • lol i live in NZ and haven't been able to find a copy here :(

  • Austarlia was never going to be invaded. pshh

  • @astupiddvdcase not the mainland...but technically papua and new guinea were "territories" of Australia so theoretically they kinda were invaded :)

  • @astupiddvdcase die wog

  • @MsSloppyseconds

    Trailer: "Australia will be invaded

Channel 7 ad campaign on The Pacific: "The battle for Australia" Get over it, Australia was never under threat from the japs directly and all this is cringe worthy

  • @astupiddvdcase You talked to the emperor right?

  • @MsSloppyseconds

Yeah, how the hell did you think i know? you stupud>?

  • @astupiddvdcase

how do you know japan wouldn't invade australia if the u.s were defeated in the pacific theatre. You never know anything could have happened...

  • @nightXriderZ

umm because of our geographic location and japan's man power and industrial output. IJA had 6 mil men at most and couldnt occupy the entire pacific and australia. especially against the US. nuff said

  • @nightXriderZ the concept that japan was going to invade was quite stupied. they only considered it once then droped the plan stright away for two reasons. 1. they dident have a large enough force to occupy Australia. and 2 it was a much cheaper and would secure a better economical future for there "Great easter Empire" if they could cut australias trade with USA by controling south east islands (PNG, Guardurscanal ect.) bleeding Aus into submission. then controlling its trade after the war.

  • @offeyy101 Why don't you and your boyfriend go kill yourselves you ungrateful little scum wog.

  • @MsSloppyseconds haha yea alright buddy because understanding the actual historical context makes me ungrateful. I never said they fought for nothing, neither that they shouldn’t have been in PNG. As it was a fundamental spot to cut the Japanese off from implying a trade embargo on Australia. I was just simple agreeing with astupiddvdcase that Australian media is self glorifying and bias.

  • @MsSloppyseconds And of course some right wing all the way with LBJ dick, who thinks I will be offended by being called a wog had to comment. Please either get a education or fuck off.

  • @astupiddvdcase I agree with you 100% . it just shows how self centred we are.

  • @offeyy101

nothing with that tripe of a film called Australia, what country in their right mind that wants to propel itself on to the global self makes a movie about their country named after their country? Its like France making a major motion picture called France. Australia shud make good movies, not movies about australia.

  • @astupiddvdcase So my Grandad and his mates fought for nothing, good men died for nothing? You are such an ungratefull little prick

  • @TheBillyboy101

ur an ignorant prick. So u think American soldiers in WW2 fought for nothing then?

Stfu with ur ignorant comments, and how do u know im ungrateful, im grateful for all those who served so STFU. i just dont like cringe worthy aspects of australian culture.

  • great movie seen it about 10 times

  • My mother is from PNG :)

  • I cried much when I saw the movie. And I learned much about this battle. You guys can be proud to be Australians. I'm proud of you all.

  • It's this mateship, courage and strength that makes me proud to be Australian.

  • One of the great Australian military legends.

  • yer where do u get it from?????????

  • I want to watch this so bad but I can't find it anywhere.

  • Another movie you guys might like is Beneath Hill 60. It's better than this and its good.

  • fantastic movie

    gotta love them aussies

great fighters, and really great people

    greets from germany lads

  • man, people are stupid

  • They already have invaded. Soon they will try to change our laws and the ways of our land. Pauline Hanson was right, and I don't know why we didn't listen to her. VOTE ONE NATION!

  • 1 nip doesn't like.

  • Think I want to do the Kokoda track now, to give a spiritual hug to the brave men of the 39th batallion who died there, their spirit will live on forever!

  • WHY ARE THERE NO CALL OF DUTY GAMES REPRESENTING THESE GUYS? And why is there hardly any mention of them in films like Apocalypse Now or Full Metal Jacket ?

  • These are the bravest men of their day 10/1 odds no way of getting back to Australia and still they faught to the end with every fibre of their being to their last breath

this is why im proud to be Australian

  • @IDGeneratorS Well said! You are right to be proud of being an Australian. Australians have proved themselves to be extremely formidable fighters throughout the 20th Century, WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Afganistan. Australians have GUTS, and GUTS is enough! Aussies always punch above their weight, they are tough, tenacious professional soldiers with plenty of sprit. They displayed these qualities yet again at Kokoda by smashing the Japs. Aussies are highly respected by the British Army. RESPECT!

  • best war movie ever

  • another brilliant aussie war movie is beneath hill 60. THE best war film ive seen

  • kokoda not acculty in japan

  • I'm from Canada but I can only say that the Austrailians were just as the same tough son of a bitches the Canadians were in WW1 and 2 . Greetings from up north . :) .

  • @scottweise18 i've read in a couple of books that by the end of ww1 the germans didn't want to face australians or canadians because they just didn't give up.

  • @scottweise18 i love canada and canadians :) i want to visit canada and live in a log cabin in snow and go fishing and hunting... do these places even exist? do yu hav to be rich to hav that? if they r real n yu know of them could yu reccomend a state which i should visit for the full experiences of the canadian beauty and landscape?

    cheers, from an aussie

  • @AustralianKing19 Hahaha well unfortunately 95% of people in Canada live in normal every day houses, but then again alot of us have log cabins in the country too . My grandparents have a log cabin from like the 70s or 80s (not sure on the date but it was before 22 years ago xD) so log cabins are something if you want . And yea living in Canada is beautiful but I live in the Prairies so not alot of log cabins here but in places further east or west yes definitely. :) .

  • @ryanscottweise :D IM SO EXCITED TO GO THER NOW! wats the employment situation like? many muslims? D: i fuking hate the muslims, theyr invading our country along with many others n outnumbering us in our own countries! i dnt hate muslims as people, i hate the islamic law that theyr trying to enstate :/ and what do you reckon the best place to go for holiday would be if i were just trying to escape city and desert. I want to be on a big glacier lake surrounded by pine trees& clean fresh air

  • @AustralianKing19 And here we dont have states . We have provinces . I for one live in the province of Saskatchewan which is in Central Canada . Between the two provinces of Alberta and Manitoba . But yea definitely . And Ive gone hunting before in my childhood and in the country it's a very amazing experience . My friend also has a cabin and Ive been there many times too and Ive gone rafting . Canada has alot of beautiful country here and I'd recommend it all . Ur welcome here

  • Great film got it on DVD really showed What Australia did for the war and what they were capable of against an enemy far greater than them. God bless those Aussies who gave there lives during the kokoda and the war

  • Thank You For Sharing This Trailer!

  • JAPANESE AT 2.12...my computer is crap, so ignore the previous times i posted.

  • This "primate" age will end eventualy.. And stupid movies they make within it..

  • Comment removed

  • @hatemf23 There are Japanese soldiers in the trailer...look at the helmets, moron. The Aussies used British-style helmets...look at 2.29....THOSE ARE JAPANESE. I wish people would pay attention sometimes...

  • @hatemf23 1.29 sorry.

  • @hatemf23 i could see a jap. they have those helmets or something with branches on them.

  • @hatemf23 A is wrong, but why do you say B?

  • @hatemf23 the whole movie is about the australians fighitng the japanese and they are constatly in it...didn't you do your history? don't you know about the kokoda track?

  • @hatemf23 There's actually quite a few man, there's one scene though where a white guy is playing a Japanese soldier, you only see his face briefly but it kind of ruins the atmosphere.

  • A lot of people I see commenting on Kokoda related videos say a lot about the negative effects of multiculturalism, etc.

I think that our country does have many problems and I do have my doubts about Australian society and our policies. But I believe it's important to not try and stick a label on people just because of where they were born. To do so is to lower yourself to the level of the people that started the war and made events like Kokoda happen.

  • Kokoda always reduces me to tears.

  • Some1 plz upload this Movie....

  • I saw this in grade 5.. I was 10.

  • This is such a great movie, the ANZAC's where great fighters, we have honour, hardship, and motivation in WWI and WWII and it isnt going to change any time soon mates.

    Australia pride. :)

  • its great to see a proud Aussie :)

where i live you don't so many of them....

Im proud to be an Australian and i wont forget what my grandfather and many many others sacrificed for my freedom.

  • Thank you, it is so sad to see many Aussies these days, people are hardly proud, the new youth is rather using things like 'yo nigger' instead of g-day. The ANZACs were great fighters they had massive courage and honour!

    Australian Pride Australian Wide.

  • very true, we have to retain our culture and respect it. this is my homeland

so many people especially Lebanese causing shit around my neighborhood , disrespecting my country but sure are glade to snack a welfare check from the country they hate so much... anywayzzz

Australia is a country of strength

  • Now that is extremely true, people are so stupid and say shit like "they just want a better life" but that is bullshit the most dangerous gangs are ran by the Lebanese and other non-whites, they do crime and it is a fucking disgrace, so far it is clear to say that our ANZACs didnt fight for our country to die from within we are literally paying them to replace us, multiculturalism DOESNT work because it is based around Marxism which sure of hell is fucking bullshit.

  • @AssieWhitePride what about australian biker gangs there all WHITE fuck your dum you just dont want to blame white people

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 true.

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 yeh i know im fucking sick of it.....im all up for immagraion and everything, but don't come here and start causing shit we had a good country and now we are getting lebanese gangs and shit, fuck off back to your own shitty country if you want to do that shit

  • @ytrewqasfd i hope you're not against normal people emigrating to australia, people who actually fell in love with the country and its culture when they visited it for the first time. people who'd be proud to live there (like me :)). i love australia and idiots like this ozkillr dude are ruining it for normal "immigrants".

  • @B4IRUTUARU16

Don't worry about them mate, in 50 years they'll be like us. Same as the greeks. Same as the Italians. Same as the British and the Irish and the Scots.

  • @harlequin2262 i sure hope so friend. we are all human, everyone deserves a fullfilled life

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 Jeez you also have that kinda of crap going on there ?

  • @RaphaElBarrelLa Unfortunately its all over The West and Europe :(

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 its the abos homeland you stupid cunt

  • @Ozkillr so me being born and raised here doesn't make me Australian? dumbshit

  • Comment removed

  • @Ozkillr hahahahaha listen buddy, i love it when dickless scum like yourself say that stupid line "we can here in planes, you came here in chains" haha

its just so funny how a bunch of no good criminals, hookers, petty theives could build a 1st world country with one of the highest standards of living and economic structure in little over 200 years :)

the only reason there are peasants migrants like your father and mother here is because we took pity of your war drenched country

  • @Ozkillr typing in capital letters won't hide the fact that Australia belongs to no one, We Belong to Australia.

enough with your racist remarks and digusting attitude

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 SUCK MY BALLS LIKE YOUR MUM DOES EVERY NIGHT.:)

  • @Ozkillr Go FUCK your ten Dads bitch :)

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 speaking of dads i seen your dad .selling his ass in the cross,to make money so he can feed your poor sorry ferral ass

  • @Ozkillr hahahaha thats funny, anywayz il leave it at that, This place is for comments on kokoda dipshit

so get a life and stop replying

  • @Ozkillr and abos go back 40 000 years? why not go back to the dinosaur ages then? why stop at the aboriginals ?

my grandfather is aboriginal , and believe me they don't like pasty white creeps telling them where they came from.

to be an Australian means to take pride in where you come from and to take care of your fellow Australians

  • Comment removed

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 The Lebanese Christians are alright

  • Racist, nationalistic garbage. You can't vilify whole groups of people (both the Lebanese AND welfare recipients) based on your own narrow experience. Get over it.

I'm a white australian and know many decent Lebanese Australians. Take your generalisations elsewhere.

You are no better than the individuals you criticise, because you too have an "us and them" mentality.

Australia has many strengths - one of it's weaknesses is small minded people making small minded comments such as this.

  • i love this movie

i have lots of respect for aussies now

    and im from new zealand!!

  • this movie makes me proud to be australian. il never forget those brave men

  • this is such a great movie would recommend that all australians watch it

  • @littlerockjrl and all the japs too

  • @littlerockjrl

    can anyne else watch it

  • @littlerockjrl well, im from germany and we barely know about australia fighting in WW2.. so i think its not only recommended to australians ;)
