There would be no reason for Odette to get upset, She obviously saw there was an out of control fire that needed to be taken care of,so thats not even something to think about,lol. But since he is over the kingdom as well as she,he could schedule some things that he can control around so that they can both spend time together while they work on their kingdoms.

2. Wouldn't he be King Derek and she be Queen Odette since they are ruling over the kingdom themselves now? (everyone keeps referring to them as Prince Derek and Princess Odette)

@AlexandraKuper My point exactly. The purpose of the marriage in the first one was to unite Uberta and Henry's kingdoms for Derek and Odette to rule over so they should be King Derek and Queen Odette and Uberta should have stepped down in favor of her son as is customary in most monarchies.

How can you tell a sequel is horrible? Not from the story, or the plot, or even new characters. But from how many of the original cast members were able to be recruited (although this doesn't work so well with judging the suckitude of Disney sequels, since they have some of their stars make Unbreakable Vows to reprise their characters until they die).

As for understanding the animals, maybe it's a sort of "listen with your heart" thing? Like in Pocahontas? Remember in that movie, when Pocahontas and John Smith first met? Pocahontas spoke in her native tongue, as if she couldn't understand John. Then they took hands and listened with their hearts. And then they understood each other, much to the dismay of the animals!

I am aware that The Swan Princess isn't Disney, but still. Anything's possible.

The Swan Princess 1, 2, and 3 are some of the best animated movies out there. I grew up on them. While watching this one, I was pleased to hear that Odette's voice actually sounds like the real Michelle Nicastro, unlike the first movie where Odette's voice was waaaaaaaaaaay too high. R.I.P Miss Nicastro. You won't ever be forgotten. :(

Besides, the drawings in the Swan Princess, the style of the characters and their clothing is quite similar to some of the Disney movies. One of the bigger telltales is actually Odettes incredibly long and thin neck!

Also, yes it's mixed up, but you have to also remember that this is a KID's movie. What exactly did you expect?
