  • Lmao yes the dv sounds gud, i had a baileys bov on my AUM 1.8t with a k03s nd coldside relocation.. Take sum advice, the bov will naker sumthing wether its ur over fueling wich will then naker ur injector seals or it do ur cat. Recirc dvs dump air back into ur system so u get more bang for ur buck ohh and the turbo chatter/spool is also due to ur dv and it aint gud for the turbo as its the air going bak thru the turbo wich will increase wear... So thers a few facts for u and the silly boy racer

  • if you run a recirculating valve and a cai you get a great sound. i used a forge 007p and a carbonio air box replacement. not sure about open atmosphere bovs on these models.

  • you can run a bov on a 1.8t aslong as its dual piston like this one... i run one my self... learn your fuckin facts

  • i stuck an atmospheric dump valve on my A3 1.8t and my engine management light came on, made my engine run rich. you know why? cause i have an AUM engine which has a sensor near the intercooler which measures air flow. so i cant run an atmospheric dumpvalve cause of that sensor. only way u can have an atmospheric dv is if u have an AGN engine cause it doesnt have the sensor by the intercooler. so what your saying is complete and utter bollox. so get your facts right u tit

  • sorry mate but he's right, the twin piston BOV doesn't leak when idle, so the MAF and MAP sensors will not cause overfuelling.

  • if this doesnt make the car overfuel, it'll make it produce turbo surge. either way, its a great way to fuck ya engine up. look after these engines and they'll last for over 200k miles. treat it with chavy mods like this and you'll soon fuck it up

  • you'll fuck your engine having an atmospheric dump valve on the audi/vw 1.8t engines. they need a recirculating dump vlave for the engine management to run properly :D

  • Unfortunately hes right. you need a ecirculating valve for most vag engines. so many sensors on the engine. the 20v tubo se a3 is the same engine as the old seat. get a recircumlating one. you can still here the drop off but just not as much as the other. a remap will only take it to a sensible point. do that as well. you can put like 50hp on it for about £400.

  • mind you, you can get recirculating dump valves which give off a blow off sound at the same time as the chatter..sounds pretty nice...thats what i was running on my bora 1.8t

  • Forge Splitter that does both, recirculating and atomaspheric. Its what i got on my a3 1.8T ill get some vids up of it soon.

  • get the Forge Splitter. Its 60% recirculating and 40% atmospheric so you still here it hiss. Doesnt hiss like a HKS one though but if you remap it and push more power it would sound louder. check my videos. Ill upload one tonight.

  • you are not right,the BOV is a good thing,it helps all the turbous to let the unneeded air,of cource on a biger Turbo or Pressure is more efective but...,i think there is not nesseseray to upgrade yor Turo to put bov,maybe th man does not have money

  • 1.8T's run on a diverter valve...NOT BOV's!!!!....The air must be recirculated back in...When you get a bigger turbo the air won't be able to be recirculated and thats when you use a BOV...

  • Sorry for my English i made mistakes because it was too late when i wrote the previous comment,and first you are blind what is this on the Video then......second, you can remap the ECU for more pressure and you will need it wich can be the case here,and third with BOV you can recirculate the air back,i have seen that kind of valves...
