  • i LOVE this song it shows my true heritge also i have to dance to it for dance club

  • My sons have already been instructed that this is the final song that will be played at my memorial service. Simply because it is so very joyful and life affirming and I love it so much. Seems appropriate...

  • like cold, clear water on an early morning...

  • there's something genuine and innocent about this kind of music, great for both country and irish dancing in a group, loosen the annoying ones' reserve first with ale

  • amazinga

  • GOOOD

  • Im here because I know whats good music~

  • Still lovely. Brings about visions of a young colt romping in a field of thoroughbreds~ Double Dog Dare you not to smile!

  • Double dog dare you not to smile............or dance!

  • Been my favorite since 1994 and good to hear it again. Double dog dare you to refrain from smiling............or even dancing!

  • brilliant.

  • i've heard it the fist time in sex and the city season 4 and i loved it :)

    now I've found it !! yesssss :)

  • I want to find the dots for this version of cowboy jig

  • just hear it on Sex and the City but recognised it from my irish dancing days....amazing song!!!

  • @ellscan This is on Sex and the City? Perhaps that show does have some redeeming qualities.

  • @Xerxes4242 It is! It's the 'theme' song when Charlotte and Trey decide to marry. Trey's family is Scottish in heritage, and they have a Scottish wedding.

  • Music like this gives me hope for the listeners of this generation.

  • fantastic, i prefer this to the waterboys version though both are good

  • fantastic.. incredible ....

    I love it

  • Great song!

  • most beautiful song i have ever heard

  • I listened to it when I was a baby to sleep so i ♥ it :)

  • It actually brings me so much joy, amazing what soulful music can do!

  • The boys can never know what this work has meant to me... all the way back to the moment I found it playing quite by chance as I walked into "The Nature Strore Company" in Chicago in '93. The only more achingly beautiful song I have ever heard comes but soon on this same album!

  • @billysings Haha, which is the other song you're referring to?:) That's one of my favourite albums for surely

  • Both tunes, beautifully done...I just learned the Cowboy jig @ a fiddle workshop...like the Calliope House @ beginning & at end. Is this a Lifescape CD?

  • fantastic

  • i just can't stop listening <3

  • this is all by violin, no?

  • I love it, it's so sweet... relaxing...

it makes you go to a peaceful world...

  • every time I hear, I feel revived.

  • ah, I love love love this!! If anyone has, or knows some one that has or knows someone that knows someone that has the sheet music for the cowboy jig (the middle part) I would be so happy! I already know the calliope house, but the cowboy jig is harder to learn by ear.

  • @mariet1704 Don't know if you've found it already but many years ago I learned the Cow-Boy Jig out of Cole's 1001 Fiddletunes. And it's written very nearly just as Alaisdair plays it.

  • superbe musique

  • very relaxing beautiful song

  • If true love could be captured and put to music, this would be the song.

  • love the song!
