@shahrukh119: She is Katya Virshilas, a Lithuanian born dancer now living in Canada. She is a Canadian National Latin Ballroom Champion. She was a pro-dancer on BBC Strickly Come Dancing, and a choreographer on the American dance show So You Think You Can Dance. The dance you see here is a ballroom styled tango not "Argentine" tango as many Argentines would say. Personally I love it since I too am a Latin ballroom dancer.

@JoachimderZweite: LOL with my pro teacher yeah, I'm an amatuer. I do the "Ballroom" tango, not "Argentine" (though I've done it), or the "International" (I don't like). I lead her, take her where I want to go, do the forms I want, even though she's the pro and my teacher. That's what she wants from me, she expects me to "lead". If I don't she gets pissed (LOL). Antonio is not dancing, he takes static positions while Katya does all the dancing. I will get nasty comments now.

@JoachimderZweite: One more item, the tango is in the "Standard" section of ballroom dancing, not the "Latin" section. I prefer Latin. We sometimes do the tango as a break from Latin. Don't ask me why the tango is not in the Latin section but the jive (or swing) is. For me Tango is as Latin as the the rumba, samba, cha cha cha, and paso.

@kinggraptor I am a latin dancer and realistcally no, My partner and I have been dancing together for almost 3 years now and It took us almost 2 months to lean this perticular dance, and most of it was him. Yes the girl moves much more than the man, but you need to anticpiate her moves and make sure that she doesnt hurt herself. I wouldnt reccoment this if your entering a contest in two weeks time. However, I would say work up to it. Good Luck :)
