@juglaresco No problem! And yes, excellent in the rain! No joke I find myself forgetting to put my wipers on in the rain because it sheets off so quickly!
Did you use UQW on your windshield and windows? I tried couple times used NXT 2.0 and UQD on my windshield but it came up with kind of sticky build up came up when I use my wipers.. Do you have that kind of problem with UQW?
@B2308IE Yes, I use a very light amount of UQW for windows. Use less than you would on paint, and make sure the glass is very clean first. Then do a final wipe with a clean towel.
Occasionally over time it will build up and when I used my wipers I notice white streaking. Then I know it is time to use vinegar and water to clean the windows completely, and start fresh with UQW.
@caka23 I apply Ultimate Quik Wax by either spraying it directly on the panel, about 3 sprays at a time, and then gently rubbing it into the paint with a microfiber towel until it disappears, OR, I spray 2-3 sprays directly on my towel and then wipe a small section until I feel it isn't leaving a trail of product any more.
It's VERY easy to apply. Tech Wax 2.0 comes in either liquid or paste form, requires a more substantial application process, and will protect more than UQW. I use both.
@Roybenz1 I haven't tried going any longer than two months because I love keeping my car in top shape, hah. I apply UQW about once every 2 weeks and it keeps everything super shiny and easy to clean when you wash it.
the results are in, and i'm totally blown away! i had the car clayed and polished by a pro shop about one month ago. the car was losing its shine, as it sits outside, but after applying UQD, i am shocked at how good it looks! it really looks like i repainted the car! now i just have to wait and see how it looks after sitting outside for a week or two. we had a small shower today, and the car pretty much self dried! very good stuff, thanks for the video!
very nice. it looks like you take great care of your car. i bought some of this product and used it today on my british racing green miata. i did it last night, and can't wait to see it in the sun!
@Twobarpsi thanks! You should love it... it's great stuff. I use it after every wash now and it is a great way to extend the life of your traditional wax. It makes washing the car so much easier...everything just falls off!
@elchamo108 It was about $40. I believe it was the AutoGeek brand. I tried cutting corners with a few non purpose-built alternatives, not worth it.
Drop the $30-40 and get the real deal. I like this one because it has a quick disconnect to switch to pure water, but the downside is the spray stream/pattern is kind of weak in pure water.
@feezalo Hi there! I use it on my windows, but use it sparingly. If you use a lot on the windows, especially adding many coats, it *might* start to smear.
Just use a small amount, and then be sure to use a clean microfiber towel for the final wipe to get it streak-free. It works great for me to push water right off the glass.
yeah this is the new black bottle ultimate quik wax not the original burgundy bottle quik wax correct ?
i have meguiars ultimate quick detailer but was wondering if this new UQW is more of a wax spray which is what i am looking for than a spray detailer with wax thrown in . it looks good if this is all what im seeing, i was gonna get the UQW to go with the UQDT spray also .. and have a flawless combo for this season
Yes, this is the new black bottle, Ultimate Quik Wax, which is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than the old spray wax IMO.
This is a legitimate spray wax, and a deadly combo with UQD like you mentioned. I first wipe down with UQD (or Last Touch if it is really dusty), and then use UQW. It's a fantastic product.
Mark, nice job dude. I bought the NXT Wax 2.0 paste and applied it on my 2003 Jaguar S Type, the finish is incredible! I always follow up the wax job with the Ultimate Quik Detailer to mimimize streaks but have wished they had a Quick Wax too, now Meguires has it I'm totally into it! Real good in between measures for maximum protection. Thanx!
It is not an officially recommended practice by Meguiar's (the product was developed for use on PAINT), but myself and many others have used UQD and UQW on windows with success. They key is to make several final passes with a clean towel or you might get light streaking.
I am still amazed how well spray wax works. Spray wax and Optimum no rinse have been good to me all winter. l need to try this but I still have a half gal of OCW and a full gallon of DG Aqua wax.
I used to use OCW on almost every detail, and have a gallon sitting around well. Heh, guess I better give it away because I definitely prefer UQW...definitely easier to use, and superior at sheeting water.
wow, great vid! ur car looks amazing.

Did you have to use the entire bottle for the wash? nice shine!
Ph00p 1 year ago
@Ph00p Thanks! I usually use about 1/3rd to 1/2 for a wash if it is really nasty and I do several "coats" of foam.
Keep in mind that I dilute the soap down substantially with water in the canister, so it is only part soap to start with.

Did you apply the UQW on top of another LSP as a top up,or did you use the UQW as your LSP?

y sld i use UQD if this stuff is also spray and wipe? since both r sprays, i might as well use UQW?
terry81 2 years ago
UQW has to be used on a CLEAN surface. If you tried to use UQW on a dusty surface you would scratch your paint.
UQD is for light cleaning, and UQW is for adding protection and shine to an already clean surface ONLY.
Lumadar 2 years ago
if i'm not mistaken it can be applied to a wet surface too aye?
junbecks 2 years ago
Correct. Again, it isn't the BEST possible way to apply it... but many people have observed that adding it while drying a vehicle works great.

Did you make that yourself/can you make it yourself? or did you purchase that somewhere?
Nice ride too!
