Not to mention were still a commonwealth country who has their head of state (a figurehead but a head nonetheless) as the queen of England.

Incorrect, she is the Queen of each country individually. So Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Grenada, Barbados, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
