Sorry, I'm very confused with this system. What breed is the dog being shown by your Jr. Handler son. I love the Jrs. not used to different names for breeds.
@LilHoneyMoma: you are right, the American Bully is not a "breed". It is a cross between the AmStaff and the APBT. They are usually much larger then this guy. :)
@rileyrooify: Since the person who posted this is RazoeShartPits, I'm guessing that they breed the Razor's Edge line which are large Pit Bulls. They are being used to help establish the American Bully I talked about above.
@LilHoneyMama which is suppose to be the case however, the Amstaff originally was the Pit Bull. Upon their acceptance in the AKC they has to change the name from Pit Bull to Amstaff. Then later on the AKC no longer allowed UKC Pits to be registered as AKC Amstaffs. However, up to this day you can register your AKC Amstaff as a UKC Pit Bull. Although they were one breed they have branched off into their own different look.
@jennyoak2003 yeah. youll never see a dog from a real good APBT line even so much as place at a UKC event. They should just change the name to the Am Staff and leave the APBT for the ADBA.
I am sorry but you let himinto a UKC show ring looking like that? very unprofessional, may pass in ABKC (which I think is BS) but not UKC

FPCMAN 2 years ago
@FPCMAN no, they aren't: the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier are two seperate, albeit related, breeds.

@SGlinton Actually you cant register your Amstaff as an APBT with the Ukc.They have closed their books to Amstaffs I believe as early as 2009

@jennyoak2003 Or okay, I checked a 2010 October issue of Dog World when their breed spot light was the Amstaff. Your correct I forgot all about that.

alot of the UKC pitbulls in shows are dual registered as staffs with the AKC. seems like all the UKC pit bulls in actual shows look more staffy like
nutsack666 2 years ago
@nutsack666 Yeah the dogs who tend to win Ukc shows tend to be dual reg staffs or have a ton of staff in thier linage
