As usual, Tavis Smiley turns an opportunity to actually interview a very interesting guest and blows it. Nodding, laughing, "oh, das right" treatment of guests is reminiscent of Arsenio Hall (with no audience). Here in Boston, Tavis Smiley is broadcast by PBS. PBS is subsidized by taxpayer dollars. Like it or not, when we come home from work, money is taken out of our pay to keep this buffoon on the air. Question: Could Tavis Smiley have a successful network/cable program WITHOUT our money?

Beyond Phenomenal,and the great Dr. Maya Angelou interprets the momment with great words b/c she knows its not really the mere fact that he will be the first African American in the W.H. but reflecting the memory of what we can be for today & tomorrow..united, equal, respected, if we see the potential of what the pass imagined for us and the bridge they left for us to cross if we work as one. She gets it, she called him a "Young King", trust she lived in MLK era and she sees that in Barack.Nice
