@LandyGerhardt Interesting, thanks - force of habit from other editors means that I don't often play around with the YUV balance effect - I'll have to try it out and see if it looks better. Thanks for the tip.
@timbothecat13 if you have, say, a blue jacket you want to mask out, but a chair elsewhere in the shot is also that colour, you can get around it with masks. You need three tracks with identical clips on. Lowest track: grayscale. Top two tracks need identical masks, roughly blocking out the section where you want to apply the effect. Proceed with the top two tracks as detailed in this tutorial, just with the addition of said masks. Hope that's helpful! :)
@timbothecat13 no problem, glad you're enjoying them. In answer to your question, yes, you can add a second "chroma key hsv" to the top clip after the first, to pull out another colour. The only thing I'd say is that it can be difficult to mask out flesh tones or lighter tones as they're often found in many areas of the shot - and you end up masking out light bulbs or light walls, that kind of thing. gonna explain a way to get around that in another comment - running out of characters!
Yay! very nice! I love your tutorials :) they are very instructive :D

This is a very nice tutorial. You have explained the process very well. Even a beginner like me can follow it easily.

Hi.
Loving your videos, awesome job.
Just had a quick question. If you wanted to grab the lighter red/pink colour as well, would you just add a second mask looking for those colours?
Have a good one,
Tim.
