This is possibly the most beautiful thing to ever exist. This is one of two things I want to see before I die. Sitting on a cliff with a full moon above the water is what I really want to see.
@myskijn One could think so, but actually, I don't :) I've been to Abisko once though, but too late in the season for northern lights (during midnight sun-time it's too light to see them) :P I read an article about the aurora sky station in STF-magazine (Swedish tourist association). Since then I've been very interested in going there in mid-winter time. Maybe I'll go there in april.
I grew up in norway. Never really saw any northern lights so that I can remember. Think their probably right about sweden. It may well be a better place to see northern lights. Plus Norway is the riches country in the world. Stuff theres seriously expensive for foreigners.
Anyone who is interested in watching northern lights should visit the Aurora Sky Station in Abisko, Sweden!! The place is considered to be the best place on earth for watching northern lights, since precipitation there is low and the sky is almost always clear. Check their website at auroraskystation. com (delete the space in the address).
@baoziaichitang Keep your god bullshit to yourself he doesn't exist only because you got brainwashed from birth with your fucking religion keep it to yourself.
@AdamForExample Why don't you keep Science to your self? Look, I'm an Athiest, and I'm a big lover in science and all, but perhaps you just let him talk about what he wants. I think it's wrong trying to oppress someone from there beliefs.
I want to see them in real life so bad...I think they are so beautiful...especially to sit outside look up at the sky at night and just relax to beautiful lights dancing in the sky.
on the other planets of our solar system you could see far more beautyful things on the ground and in the sky. im sad i will never see them. but i need to see these in this vid
I've had the good fortune to see the Aurora Australis from the southern Australian state of Victoria . I consider it to be the most memorable sight I've ever seen. I'd willingly pay for the airfares to see it again if I could be sure that it would occur when I travelled to the viewing region. Even though they are seen more often in New Zealand there is no guarantee that one could be seen during a month long holiday there.
@josyula547 Actually, Abisko in Sweden is considered to be the best place on earth to watch the northern lights, so save some money and go there instead (Norway is one of the most expensive countries in the world). Abisko is an area north of the Arctic Circle with relatively low precipitation, which means that the sky is often clear during winter nights. Check their website at auroraskystation. com to learn more.
I'm from India.Yes economy is still a big problem. I dont have enough money to travel. But isn't the entire Europe costly. You mean Sweden would be better compared to others?
@josyula547 Well, if you want to watch the northern lights Abisko in Sweden is the best choice from two perspectives: it is considered to be the best place in the world to watch northern lights, and it is cheaper than Norway (but you're right, Europe in general is expensive). I don't know how expensive Sweden is compared to other European countries, but compared to Norway it is cheaper.
@josyula547 Here's a snippet from the aurora skystation website: "Abisko, in the middle of the auroral zone, is considered to be the best place on earth to see the Aurora Borealis. With its fresh, clear air and its practically permanent cloud-free sky the prerequisites in Abisko are optimal. More or less active northern lights can be seen almost every night."
@sonikue23 yes do it before you die! Ive seen some with my own eyes. I got really lucky. They are actualy slowly moving like a peice of clothing. If you live a bit north google "aurora forecast" ans plan a roadtrip to dark place a bit further north when the right time will come.
@uglemann seeing this makes me want to cry.. look at us.. what humans has done to nature in return.. we replaced almost anything on earth with concrete.. we're the real satan here..
@Aeracia91 me too! I'm going to travel all around the world someday, and going to Norway is on my top 10 list so I can see the magnificent Aurora Borealis
@chilvari Actually, if you want to see the northern lights, go to Abisko in Sweden instead (neighbour country).
