@paleyellowrainbow2 nnnno i think they were just getting way too fast for the level of safety they had back then. it was basicly disestablished after a death that had a straight link to the excessive speed of the car. even the driver that died said before the crash that if something happened he'd be as good as dead.

yeah.. banning group B was far the biggest mistake in the history of the rally.

To me -- almost every part of the drive was awasome! The downhill runs at full throttle with an occasional flick into a corner were quite breathtaking! The very sound of the car going like a jet engine when travelling near the top speed is pretty scary.

On another note: is it only my impression that this Rally Australia looks quite a lot similar to Rally GB? :) Not to mention pieces of road looking almost straight out of Margham Park :D I love those type of switchback stages!
