@danjosh7111 Lucas has made it a point to never reveal that. Yoda was originally supposed to be unique. Then he sorta broke that idea with the prequels with the character Yaddle.

As great as the game looks, I do really hope the difficulty was set low for the demo....bc if players that "slowly" click buttons, and a jedi knight that didnt charge the first 15 min roll thru without a problem.....good players will rip thru it and get bored. I really hope Bioware has the nerve to make the game a challenge. I dont mean wiping over and over......but a little more challenge than that. I do think it was just tuned down for the demo. lets hope anyway.

Its the way the content is delivered that makes the difference. For the first time someone is melding the single player rpg, within an mmo. It doesnt matter if im killing 6 boars or six battle driods.....if it's delivered in a way that i'll actually give a shit, it wont matter. And I think 12 mil ppl would agree with me.

@freshtendrills I get what you're saying, and for a lot of people I'm sure that will be enough. Personally, I don't play an MMO for the story. In fact, that's the last thing I care about. For me it's all about gear, stats and pvp. In other words, "Gameplay". And SWTOR doesn't look to be adding anything new to the equation.

It'll be fun for a while, but games are evolving all the time, and I for one can't wait until the truly "Next Gen" MMO comes along...

I think the game would be alot better if the had a little imagination and didnt make it healer tank dps like other mmo's.For example they could have made the trooper and jedi knight fight in a frontal assault untill the smuggler sneaked in and disable the defenses or other things like that.

It's funny that people are like "they knew what they were doing"... first of all, no they didn't. They were absolutely terrible players. Second of all, I believe the instance' difficulty was toned down because this was during PAX, and they said they toned it down. I hope the real difficult is MUCH harder, because imagine four experienced raiders from previous MMO's doing this... it'll be over quick.

@Eschutaz what do u mean they were bad i realize they tone it down for the show floor but they didnt come close to dying and half the people from wow even the ones with 3+ years of exprerince or so they say are still awful at instances even though in wow you only have to do one task there is no variables in wow as opposed to in this the healer is expected to heal and do damage the boss fights require you split up tanking and the jedi knight also had to tank lesser adds for the trooper

@CaptainSpurt The players sucked. They click their spells with up to 5+ seconds in between just because they didn't know what to click. They simply had way too little knowledge of their character. An experienced mmo player has certain bindings to specific abilities that's why it's so easy to switch between MMOs because all abilities are more or less the same in all MMOs just with different names.

That's why I hope it was WAY toned down because experienced MMO players would tear it apart.

@CaptainSpurt Look mate. I'll reply once and for all, there's simply no point arguing with some one who can't put two and two together. They are supposed to be lvl 32 so they probably have more than 2 attacks but not much more than that is shown in this video from each class. It's 90% of the time the basic attack they're using. So clearly they do not know how to play. And yes I can know for a fact that I'll be out dpsing these guys so hard it'll look fucking ridiculous in comparison. Good night.

@CaptainSpurt If I judged people by their names I wouldn't be talking to you. Fyi I live in Scandinavia, and my youtube name was chosen years ago cause of an item I liked in diablo 2. The thing is - an experienced MMO player will bind his abilities to the same bindings in pretty much any game. Meaning - if there is a 1.5 second cast dps ability or an instant attack, it'll be bound to a key which you've used for that particular sort of attack in a previous MMO as well making it easy to learn.

You'll have to write a bit more clearer cause I'm having a hard time reading what you're trying to say. I know there are wow players who played for years who still suck, I'm not talking about those, they exist in all games. The few variables in swtor such as off-tanking is not enough to keep it "difficult", trust me. I can probably do 3-4x as much dmg as their main dpser in this group just because I'd use my abilities faster and more effecient so off-tanking wont even be needed.

@retwakm These guys knew what they were doing, and I'm sure getting a flawless run isn't as common as you think. I'm also sure that they must have died doing this before. Plus, having a healer and a tank that know what they are doing can easily save an entire group. That's true in any MMO.

I'm kinda curious as to how the resource management works while healing. With no traditional mana bar, I suppose there's no way to reach a resource limit. The Smuggler in this vid didn't seem to have any resource limitations from what I could see. I guess that means healers are throughput capped instead of resource limited?
