i learned how to play this song on keyboard a few years ago and loved it so much I eventually went on to write my own song in the same style. My song, Native American Ballad, turned out more piano-based instead of string/violin-based like LOTM, but I tried to capture the same powerful, emotional buildup. Check it out. Great song, but this isn't the main theme from Last of the Mohicans. It's called "The Kiss", which is based on a Scottish tune known as "The Gaul".

@abenjohar I Agree also one thing .. he need to add spirit, purity and harmony in order to play this song. He is more focus on the keyboard than then the melody> :( and at the I can feel a little bit of frustration perhaps. But keep trying jeremy you did good, and now we are two that agree that you can do it better. :-)

@atlantagdesign2011 yeah I can play this better. This video was recorded pretty much the week I learned it. The voices on that keyboard don't compare to actual instruments. Plus, you can't really replicate the "trill" effect on a keyboard, but what I'm playing here to mimic it is still wrong. I've corrected it to a closer-sounding version, but it's still not accurate. Plus, I play not to come up with a duplication of the music I learn but simply to enjoy playing variations of music I like ;)

No it's actually not. The original version was played at around 100 BPM's. He is playing around 120 BPM's. Trust me 25 years in the recording industry. Still he is really good. I would just like to hear it at the original pace.
