Guy, Thank you for the nice compliments!

I just finished up three tenor scale banjo-ukes with 10" rims and they sound great with the nylon strings and am anxious to try nylon on one of the five strings. tomorrow we are headed north for a couple of weeks so I wont be checking email or building any banjos till we get back home.

    Richard

  • Richard I just went and looked at you website . I really love the idea of using local woods for stability .I also was fasinated at your work history . Boats to furniture and more . Just great . I will put a link from my thread at Mudcat on American banjo makers to your site . All the best , Guy

  • 002: Just beautiful Richard.I love the peghead. The moon & star over a tree! The heel to pot looks very well set and you can tell it is because the instrument sounds so rich. What strings have you put to this banjo? I might try both Nylon and heavier strings to see what happens to the sound .

003: I have alway liked the rolled brass tone ring . The pots on both 002 & 003 look wonderful.

001: I love the tone of how you have this set up .. & it looks great too. More soon. Congratulations Richard

  • Nice work uncle Richard!! Those look and sound great! Sweet picking as well. J.B.
