People get the wrong Idea of the Gulf, I know this is a florida video, Ill talk some texas real fast though. Do not ever get the wrong Idea, it does not take a Hurricane to give us or any body on the gulf Head high, Occasionally bigger just on a good fall-winter-spring day. Its simply all a lie if someone tells you any different. Thumbs up to GC Florida, if you live there, surf the gulf. or any gulf surfer then you guys know exactly what im talking about :)

@GnarKiLzKiLz yeah i have always heard the gulf coast has nothing, but surfing magazines and videos have told me otherwise. still not as good as places not in the gulf, but looks like some fun waves

Im tired of people thinking Gulf doesn't get it... We land head+ many times a year up and down the Texas coast, location location location. Doesnt take a hurricane to make it happen. Just a little insight, not trying to make anyone upset cause they dont know the little piece of heaven we have here. I do admit though, most clips from TX , usually just post anything they film and it leads to misconception that its trash here. I know this one is Florida, and im talkin Tx, but I cut for gulf FL too

during wilma we had some double overhead at twin piers, that was the biggest ive ever seen outside of hawa'ii. if u dont know where twin piers is, good!!

its not even overhead... its like this almost every week in jacksonville just not as clean and less barrel sessions... yall are crazy saying its rarely like this in florida... this week we have head to 1-2ft overhead swell

Head high and glassy, how many times in a life does that happen on the gulfcoast?

It happened for Wilma in 05' and Ivan in 04'. Before that I cant even remember a glassy swell like that ever, so as far back as 87' we've had nothing.
