I hadn't really given it much thought until I saw this, but I am now extremely grateful that the floor-manager of one of the main clubs I work at always runs out to observe me escorting an unruley patron out of the establishment and tries to talk him/her down into compliance while keeping at a safe distance. I can't imagine having to deal w/ a manager slipping a patron into a choke hold on his own.

@Recovermin If you have a manager or head of security that is concerned for your safety as well as the customer's safety but STILL allows you to do your job. You should probably let him know that you appreaciate it. LOL

the worst part about a situation like this is that you cant tell the manager to stop or let the guy go or anything because he is your boss and wont listen and then yell at you later for trying to tell him what to do. god i hate that bullshit

@killersmerf4 Exactly right ! I must admit that my boss tolerated my yelling at him in these situations very well. Each time he swore to behave better, but at the end of the day, he was still the boss and he would do this stuff over and over again as he pleased. I eventually quit because of that but when money got short, I agreed to come back. I tried to control as much of that BS as I could. I couldn't COMPETELY sell my soul. Appologies to customers who were treated this way.

I've worked with bar managers and owners that have gotten involved in fights. I even worked with a DJ that would run out into the parking lot when all hell broke loose.

Excellent upload excellent comments... nightclub managers CAN often be insecure nerds who get into that job as a power trip, the things they will do when they THINK they are backed by a security team often can cause them to swim way way way out of their depth. As you say: get back behind the bar or in the office and let us do our job. Good video thanks for posting.

@RoadhouseDocHoliday Thank you for commenting. As you can see, I have posted a lot of videos in my Nightclub Diary series. People who just want to see some bar fighting will be dissappointed. I expect that only other bouncers will take much interest in these videos, but that's the point. Most bouncers learn on their own. I just want some good examples out there, and give them a chance to read what experts in the field write about it.

@streetfightsecrets Thanks, hopefully people will see that even when things are at their craziest, security fundamentals got things under control quickly. I didn't have any Martial Artist on that crew and only a couple big guys but once I got them to work as a team, we hardly even had fights anymore.

Don't think there's any commenting necessary here. I hope either said manager or yourself no longer work there. In cases where individuals like this refuse to understand their and security's role, I walk. Managers get paid to "manage", nothing else. Bottom line.

@MrHardcoreDad I waited untill this club was no longer open and I no longer work for this management company before I released videos taken from their own security cameras. I did walk at one point and returned three months later. To be completely fair, the General Manager did improve greatly once he settled into his role.

EVERYONE thinks they can be a bouncer and managers are no exception. But, just because you CAN, it doesn't mean you SHOULD. Not everybody has the temperment for the job. It isn't supposed to be an ego trip. It's just a job.

In a situation where a customer refuses to pay for services rendered, that's what 911 is for. I understand that the manager can't let people not pay for services but don't make ME a party to strong - armed robbery because you felt that calling the police was bad for business. We are not the MANAGER'S goon squad and I am NOT going to jail for management
