I've said this before - it's a CRIME Maggie Kirkpatrick never won an award for the role, one of the all-time great tv characters.

Anyway, for me, the Freak WAS Prisoner. The series was never dull when she was on the screen!

Yes i also would have liked to have seen her have a proper fight with Myra. I remember reading in Terry Bourkes book 'Prisoner Cell Block H' and it says Myra bashes the Freak so bad in a brawl she needed life saving Brain surgery, i always looked forward to that when Myra arrived then of course i realized the book is full of mistakes. I also wondered if the guy who wrote the book even watched Prisoner there were so many of them.

Yeah i would have thought it was too, but the book specifically said it was Myra who bashed her.. and every prisoner fan knows, like you say, it was Frank that caused her to have brain surgery.. We could have written a better book than Terry Bourke, we really KNOW the storylines.

Those black leather gloves, the sinister smirks, the bashings, the insults and one liners she was always spouting.

What a woman. Long live The Freak! My favourite Prisoner character.

Don't care what anybody else says, but for me Maggie Kirkpatrick WAS Prisoner. Every classic scene, every memorable moment, every quotable line...involved the Freak! Watching these clips after all these years, I still find myself saying her lines before she does! Can't do that for any other character, because quite frankly I didn't really care.

I still think it's sad the actress never won an award for this role. She stole every scene she was in and was probably the best TV villain ever.
