Really good laptop but aneasy way to beat the finger print reader is get the users finger print off the cover with selotape then cover the reader up with it. When it asks for id just press some paper down on top of it! XD

no. but it depends on the room temperature and what ur doin.... :) i dont think overheating wont do any damage at all......... just unexpected shutdowns. so if ur goin to do sumthn "hot".. like playing the sims3 or devilmay cry 4... make sure the room is airconditioned... or buy a cooling pad. :) trust me.. the studio rocks. u can use it for like 20 hours/day.

short batterylife though. and it runs slower without the ac adapter plug-in.

+its too big. so its not really good for the outdoors.

I was looking into the sony vaio fw which i really liked but was drawn away from because of the short battery life and its concentration on media which really isn't what i need. I started looking into this computer and have heard mixed things about it. My friend just bought a gateway m series laptop and well what do you think? dell studio 15, gateway m series, or maybe even hp's version of a similar computer (whatever that is)?

I think that the Dell Studio 15 is the best. The Dell can sleep by closing the screen, the laptop stays cool for a long period of time, and it has over 7 hours of battery life. This is the cheapest laptop I have seen with the same specs also. The gateway heats up too fast ( forced shutdown is caused), and the hp is overpriced for the included features. I believe that the hp is the Pavilion. All this info is from multiple reviews on manufacturer websites and others.

The finger print reader is there now if you go on the US site. Its one of the last things to configure, right after bluetooth if im not mistaken. I had no idea about the SIM card thing, thats pretty cool. Wish i had a sim card with 3G.

Hey, to answer your questions:

1. the battery lasts up to 3 1/2 hours of surfing the internet.

2. It only flexs greatly if it is back light, but you will come used to it and it won't be a problem.

3. For the speakers you can just plug a stereo or something because the laptop speakers are terrible.

4. the buttons work fine unless your laptop was manufactured badly

Every one misses this and im getting annoyed i was hoping you would notice the difference between the 2 USB ports on the left side the top one is an e-SATA port and a USB it workes as both. and you do have it. it does allow you to have a the ability to use an external hard drive that has an e-SATA at a speed of 3GB/S instead of the 400 MB/S USB. just wanted to point this out to everyone so now im off the the next video.
