  • The bit where they're walking down the street. What's that a reference to?

  • @11past3 Reservoir Dogs

  • @11past3 Yes, I was thinking of what other film has a group of robbers where something vaguely similar happens, and so the Reservoir Dogs reference went in for the robbery.

In the programme notes for the new West End stage adaptation of The Ladykillers, Graham Linehan says something similar - but I wrote (most of) my spoof of The Ladykillers before I saw the stage version.

  • @Schnorbs Ah. I knew it was a reference to something - and I've seen Resevoir Dogs, but didn't think to connect them. I like the comparison though.

The stage adaptation is one of the best things I've seen and I loved it to bits.

  • @11past3 The "swearing obscured by noise" is directly from the stage version (although the train noise rather than one of Mrs W's parrots).

I think there was a "that's a big one" type of moment in the play when the excellent Clive Rowe first appeared as One Round with his cello.

  • @Schnorbs I think you're right about the "big one" moment - I seem to remember Marcia Warren making a similar remark.

  • Frakking hilarious!!!!

  • Fantastic all!! This is smashing good fun!

  • @mtrakas Thank you.
